“A bit remote but handy for motorway system”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Check in was swift & efficient. Bed room was clean & decent size Bathroom similar with clean linen. Breakfast was usual continental style Evening meals were good & decent value All in all a good place with easy access to motorway system
Room was quite hot and found radiator was cracked on!! Couldn't turn off
I had no noise problems despite being ground floor front.

However, I thought it very good value and I will be back when next in the area

Room Tip: Rooms on top floor & at back will be quiete.

2 night stay here to visit family. The hotel is located just off the highway, but has its own little micro-cosmos with quite a bit of green around, when you realize you are surrounded by highways. I enjoyed the jogs certainly. Hotel rooms are basic, but fine be it that the walls are thin, so you quickly hear others. Breakfast decent and staff very friendly. parking available and closed off in the night - all in all, a good place for a short stay as its close to the center of Rotterdam.

The positive aspects first: reasonable prices, the rooms were clean, easy access from the highway, not far by car from beaches, the wifi was free and fast (another reviewer complained of slow wifi, it may depend then).
Negative aspects: some parts of the bathroom that could easily be replaced were in a really bad state. The worse for me: the noise of slamming doors all the night, this made me crazy!!! I cannot understand why the managers do not invest in cheap hinges system to avoid it.

Well its cheap to stay here so rooms are small and basic. Restaurant and bar and nice and staff are helpful.
I have stayed here a few times. Its convenient for the motorway, clean and tidy.
Its a fair walk to the centre but a nice one.
Good parking facilities and secure.

I visit Vlaardingen once or twice a year or so to see old friends, and I've stayed at Campanile for the past 5 years and I must say it is definitely good value for money. You do not get less than what you pay for. The location is not the best, however the nearest train station is "Schiedam Nieuwland", which is a slightly awkward walk as you may need a map for guidance, and it takes about 15 minutes (walking). "Vlaardingen Oost" train station is also close by which is about 15 minute walk. The "MCD" which is a supermarket is about a 7 minute walk away from Campanile.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013 via mobile

I was ther one night travelling for business.
The room are small and with VERY old furnishment. The good thing is that looks clean. Parking is in front of the hotel (easy to reach). Restaurant good enough.
WiFi existing but slow like a turtle, almost impossible to use to work.
If I will be in that area again I will choose a different hotel.
