“Very wild”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Amazing cristal water, nice marine animals if you are an addicted of marine biology! I would suggest to take with you all the stuff for spending one day on the island: solar cream, towel, food and waters, paying attention in to not forget anything in the island at the end of the day!

“Fantastic getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

I have been living in Sardinia for 23 years, and Lavezzi is just across the Bonifacio Strait, yet so far I had never had a chance to visit this paradise island until last Saturday.
A 50 minutes swift boat ride from Cannigione, delivered us to a fish sanctuary as I only had seen in the Australian and Red Sea Reefs, with dozens of mullets and sea breams, among the many other species, surrounding the enthusiastic swimmers.
The island is unspoiled and as wild as you can get, considering it is less than 30 minutes away from the closest civilaztion point (Bonifacio, on Corsica island), and a treasure not to be missed.

“Caribbeans of the Med”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

We rocked up at 8.45am. bought the tickets from a booth opposite the harbour of a boat tour operator, 65 Euros per person including breakfast, lunch and refreshments.

9am, cast off on a big double decked boat. We had roughly 80 people of the boat, which felt full, at peak times the boat can accommodate up to 200 people, shudder.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Some men were asked to open bottles of rose in preparation for lunch. The women to feel spuds, a tad sexist me thinks, plus I pay for a boat tour, not to prepare my lunch. Anyhow, other people seemed to enjoyed it, generated small banter.

Lunch was bouillabaisse and very delicious. Although rocking motion of the anchored boat meant we couldn't eat as much as we wanted without hurling.

Best bit was seeing the beautiful beaches of Polombaggio, the limestone cliffs of the Bonafacio, and finally the islands. The islands were beautiful, crystal blue water, grey smooth boulders. Unfortunately we didn't have our snorkling gear, but those who did saw some exciting sealife. Water temperature in early July was too nippy for us. Most people headed for the larger beaches, walk further round the island and there are smaller patches that are quieter and less busy.

In all, we enjoyed the sights, the sea air, and having a lazy day out on a boat.

“Wild islands”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

The nicest bit is the boat ride back and view and comments of the cliffs and other island scenaries. Stayed on a beach and decided to walk around the island...didn't have enough time. Worth taking time to walk around, nice remote beaches and some shapes of the stones are really amaizing!
