A group of 7 of us stayed at the Santa Teresa during a motorcycle tour of Corsica. I guess we got off to a bad start when the hotel had no record of our internet booking and the receptionist didn't seem too keen on helping us out, even though the hotel had enough free rooms for all of us. Having said that, you can't beat the location and views from the upper floors (the lower floors look out onto neighboring fields and the parking lot, so try to avoid those if you can). The rooms were well appointed, clean and quiet. We paid Euro 165 for a triple room, which is very reasonable by Italian standards in a fairly touristy area .. although it was still not quite high season when we went. So, given the price and the location, I can live with a grumpy reception desk!

This hotel has a marvellous location in the old town of Bonifacio. It is a rebuilt army barracks situated directly beside what tourist guides claim to be the secondmost beautifully situated cemetery in Europe! More to the point, the hotel has a fantastic view across the strait between Corsica and Sardinia. Sunset is marvellous. There is a private carpark, which is good, since parking is extremely scarce in Bonifacio. Also, walking distance to the centre of the old town of Bonifacio is less than 10 minutes. Our family of four (parents and two teenagers) stayed in two double rooms with balcony facing the strait. The balcony cost an extra 20 EUR per room per night, but is recommendable. The rooms had aircondition and TV and the bathrooms were OK just like everything seemed clean and in good working order. The reception personnel were friendly and even spoke some English! However, the price of 170 EUR for a double room seems a bit over the top given price levels at Corsica in general, more so as it did not include breakfast, which was also quite steep at 11 EUR for a nice but not overwhelming buffet breakfast with no warm dishes.

I stayed 3 nights (october, 2006) at the Santa Teresa Hotel. I found it a little bit overpriced (135 euros/night, off season, for a triple). The design is all right, no more, no less. the great thing is the location: on the very top of the cliff, with an unbelievable view on the old Bonifacio, the magical harbor, Sardaigna, and unforgettable sunsets when night comes. Try when booking to get some rooms above level 5 (the higher is the room, the better is the view). What else? The breakfast is great, with some corsican saussages if you wish, the staff friendly and eager to please you, and there is a nice parking. Since the hotel is fairly isolated, it's peaceful (no cars roaring or live music), beautiful and it's within a walking distance from Bonifacio's old historical center.
