“Modern hotel but not the best location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

The hotel seems almost newly built and keeps a very good standard. The one thing we didn't like so much was the location, as it is situated a bit outside of the town and just in front of a road. Also, the surrounding is not very picturesque and quite different from what you see if you walk into the center.

However, if you like to live in a modern place and don't mind a short walk to see the marvels of Bonifacio, this is a good place to stay.

Pros:
Very nice room with large double bed, bathtub and balcony
Clean, except for some ants which kept appearing in the bathroom
Friendly welcoming
Electrical outlets on bed side
Close to the port

Cons:
Impossible to use wifi in room (301). Upon check in we asked if it worked and we were told, as usual, wifi is available everywhere. Long story short, since you can lose signal by moving your device by one or two inches, we had to step down to the lobby to book our next accomodations.

Room Tip: If you need wifi access in the room, go and check yourself.

No view from the hotel but only a few minutes walk from the port and all the restaurants. Easy to get to and free parking.
Rooms are soundproof. Very good breakfast with lots of choices in the buffet. Breakfasts kept us going till supper with a light snack in the afternoon.
Hotel is fairly recent but there is no shower, only a shower head in the bathtub. Not very convenient.

We (family of 2+1 four year old) stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Summarizing our experience below

If you are looking for a quite little place and for a brief stay in Bonifacio, I will recommend this hotel

Pros
------
(a) Good location. Outside the main city, but just a 10 min walk from the port. Quite easy to find out as well!
(b) Free & secure parking
(c) Free wireless internet within the rooms
(d) Spacious balcony
(e) Little pizzeria just outside the hotel
(f) A small super market 5 mins walk from the hotel
(g) Not noisy, although it is close to the road
(h) Front-desk assistance

Cons
--------
(a) Room rates, considering the amenities on offer
(b) Rooms are not very spacious
(c) The rooms did not contain options to boil water, make a black tea etc.
(d) Breakfast (buffet) was pricey at 12 Euros per person, for the options offered. (Suggest going to the supermarket or to the port)
(e) View from the balcony...you end up looking at the road

Room Tip: Get water from the nearby super market Breakfast can be opted outside the hotel

This hotel have nice&modern rooms and a good location. It is only a few hundred meeters to walk to the restaurants. Bonifacio is a city with a lot of activity and life in the late hours, so if you need a place to stay where it is a bit more relaxed and quiet, yet still very central..this is the place you want to stay. The breakfast was very good as well. There is also a garage if you have a car right beside the hotel.

Would recommend this hotel for everyone!

As I was told that Bonifacio is among the most expensive cities in Europe my expectations for the hotel wasn't that high. However, the hotel has some very good rooms - not fancy but doing a good job with new furniture and plenty of space.
The foyer is small but the receptionist is nice and helpful. I can also recommend the breakfast for €10 - worth the money, and a strong coffee that will wake you up for sure.
Use the hotel if you need a practical hotel doing what it should - but don't get it for a romantic weekend is you plan to stay on the hotel.
