We stayed at Holiday Inn Alpensia Resort on Dec 30, 2011 till Jan 2, 2012. We booked it through website in September and got very good rate. Our room is a king bedroom suite, with open kitchen and the balcony. The room is very spacious. Kitchen utencils are very clean (they informed us that we have to call maid before checking out 30 minutes to let her check all the utensils, if we didn't clean it, they will charge us. Anyway when we actually checked out, noone came to check it.) We stayed in building 201 which is very near the ski slope and all the shops and restaurants, so it's very convenient. I really love the korean restaurant there. They serve very yummy bulkoki. The grocery store opens 24 hours a day.
The ski slopes are nice and not so crowded which is good for us as it's our first time to ski. There's also a separate slope for sledge. Unfortunately the alpine coaster is not open in winter so we didn't have a chance to try it.
