Although our stay was quick, we were all taken aback by the simple, yet elegant ambiance of Spanish Ilocandia. It has a warm and charming atmosphere. The look and feel of his place is more of a home, rather than a hotel. And with fantastic food to match with its cheap prices, I wouldnt want to stay elsewhere

It's a hard to find small place that they call Pension House. I would like to call it a dormitory for bad teenagers. The room they said that was good for 5 was actually good for 2 and they provide thin futons that they put on top of a wooden bench. The room has a small living room and an even smaller kitchenette. Very poorly made, and not so clean. So if you are in hiding from the authorities, this place will do. They put a very small Aircon, window type, very very old of around 1 or 1/2 horsepower to provide cooling for a 80 square meter place si it was..... HOT!! They immediately opened the electric fan as to mask the heatbutwjo are they kidding. They actually think visitors don't know how to feel heat? The food was ok but no not really and the staff were very attentive. Only if they can renovate their rooms and provide more cooling and get rid of those electric fans. Who are you guys kidding? Your place is old, hot and dirty. No amount of advertising can make you guys great. RENOVATE!!! Provide proper air conditioning PLEASE!!! HOT HOT HOT rooms!!!!

Went to Balay da Blas Pensionne House April 2010 to attend my best friend's wedding in Cabuyao, Ilocos Sur as we got to spend 2 nights in Laoag. Big rooms, service was good as well as their breakfast. If ever we go back to Laoag, we'll definitely check them first!!!

big rooms at affordable cost, you get a ref, cable tv and big bathroom, who wouldn't love this? definitely would go back here and will recommend this to friends :) free breakfast, you got wifi as well, very helpful and cheerful staff, sadly had to stay only for one night since we were going to batac, paoay and vigan the next day.... but it made a really good impression and will definitely go here again.

We were a big group so we stayed in their barkada room. The room had a loft that had 2 of the double beds. Airconditioning was great. Hot showers after tours and trips were really great. They cleaned the rooms daily and you get fresh towels daily too. They can arrange tours for you, you just need to inform them. You can take tricycles around the city if you want to try restaurants like Saramsam or try the local hangout called Dap-ayan. It is in the city so everything is easy to get to.

Accommodation was quite large with a suite type configuration and of reasonable value. Starting to show wear on the furnishings but still servicable. Kitchen unit did not have any serviceware of any type. Desk set up day tours as requested and provided car service to the airport. Did not get around town much as the local transportation was mainly tricycles with side cars so small that we could not get comfortably seated. Pros: Price, large room, good WIFI and friendly front desk. Cons: Breakfast was rather nasty and one day made my spouse sick later that morning, Each morning some of the staff would light up near our room where the smoke would creep into the room, Billing was a bit confusing with credits and debits being mixed up it took me a while to sort it all out and find that the total due was accurate, hotel takes MC when on site but requires a bank deposit when making a reservations which is a pain when one is travelling from overseas. Indications are that an proper dining facility is being constructed next door which should make things better.
