“Charming, kitschy decor; passable, no-frills accomodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

The colorful design motif -- an earnest mashup of Florida resort chic and Gulfstream-era transit motel -- adds charm to the otherwise simple rooms. Adequate space. Sufficiently comfortable. Superb location; walking distance to most attractions in the city center. Definitely worth the off-peak rate.

Bear in mind that there's no elevator, in case you're lugging gear with you. It wasn't an issue for my girlfriend and I, but some might regard that as a point of consideration.

An art deco hotel that surprisingly stands in the center of Laoag City. The hallway reminds me of old hollywood, plus the color really gets the feeling of the hotels in Miami! The rooms are clean and the simple, i also like the bathroom with door enclosure because shower curtains remind me of a part in the Psycho's movie. They have flat screen tv and energy saving aircon so its a great deal for less than P1200. The staff are very friendly and they have a cool 50's diner downstairs with real antique jukebox playing! The noodles are good especially SUper mami and my favorite on the go is the sloppy joes, need a bit more spicy but its ok. its a blast from the past. For sure i will bring my folks the next time i go back to Laoag.

If you are looking for a "budget" hotel in Laoag city, Hotel Tiffany is the place to go.
For a P1,300 per room for 2pax with no breakfast, its a good deal already. There are nearby restaurants that you can try. If you are adventurous, you can visit Laoag Public Market for the local delicacies and eats.

Room Tip: The hot shower releases intermittently, check it and report to staff if you encounter this.

Booked this hotel a month before arrival. When I found out that they do not have an elevator, I specifically requested via their website to put us in the lower floors. They never replied. I called them up via landline to request for airport transfer but they said they're charging 450 per way but they suggested that we take the free shuttle from airport to downtown wherein you will step right off in front of the hotel. Thankful for that.

Arrived at the hotel and guess what, we were placed on the 4th floor. Never bothered to follow up on the email because I thought it wouldn't be much of a hassle to walk up and down. But damn, it was tiring. REALLY tiring and exhausting since the stairs steps are sooo steep. I have a photo attached which showed the elderly guests almost giving up onto the 2nd floor. One elderly man (as shown on the pic) even stopped in the middle to rest not even reaching the 2nd floor yet. I really pity them. Imagine us on the 4th floor!

Room was small, but ok. somewhat clean. They only provide 1 pillow but we requested for extra pillows from the bellboy and it was ok. But their bathroom has a small sink and it was impossible to wash your face on it because the platform where you place the toothbrushes, etc. (don't know what it's called) will hit your forehead. Shower has loose handle and it it won't close you have to estimate if it's already off otherwise you will rotate it endlessly.. They should do something about it. Towels are as rough and hard as a body scrub. Painful to wipe your face using it.

Restaurant at the ground floor, Macy's is the best. I love everything about it.. the ambiance, the waiting time if perfect, the food choices is amazing.

Staff are very friendly, suggestive of where to eat after 8pm, etc.

Overall, might come back again only if they assure that I'd be placed on the 2nd floor since they DO NOT REPLY to emails.

Room Tip: DEMAND for lower rooms especially if you have elderly or kids with you

This hotel have their own restaurant on the first floor. We've tried their food and it was delicious and affordable. Near to Hotel del Norte Laoag. Their room accommodation ranges PHP 1,500.00 and up. Small hotel.

The room we got is very nice, Inn is near the municipal and park. Staff were accommodating and friendly; they know the events in there locality and were very helpful to point us the places we can go to. Inn’s price is reasonable:)

I stayed here for 3 days while doing some business in Laoag. The hotel has a good location in the city center and is within walking distance (2-15 minutes) of city hall, the provincial capitol, a museum, restaurants and fast food joints, convenience stores and supermarkets, and at least 1 bar.

The rooms are basic and clean, and are equipped with flat screen TVs and new AC units. The rooms are painted in what I can best describe as a 60s theme, with the walls in one room I used sporting pink polka dots and another being painted in broad purple stripes. The bathroom fixtures are a bit dated and shower stalls in some of the rooms are quite narrow, making it difficult to give yourself a good soaping or scrub while showering.

The hotel does not have an elevator, but is only 4 storeys, so this should not be a problem if you are reasonably fit. There is also a restaurant on the 1st floor, Macy's, a 50s style diner. I did not dine here, but it seems to be popular with the locals. As I mentioned, there are a lot of other dining options nearby. A 24-hr. fast food place, Jollibee, is almost directly across the road from the hotel. The hotel is also within walking distance to bus stations where you can get a ride to other parts of Ilocos Norte or the neighboring provinces.

Room rate are ideal for those on a budget, ranging between PhP 750.00 - 1600.00. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to assist guests, particularly Richard, the person manning the front desk.

Room Tip: These rooms are at the back of the hotel and will keep you away from the noise on the street frontin...
