Really lovely seafood on the beach. Well deserving of the many great reviews it already has on TripAdvisor!

“One of the most romantic and pleasant restaurants ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Afrer being dissapointed with the Burmese oily cuisine in general I was very pleasantly surprised of how the Burmese cuisine can be delicious presented by the Green Umbrella. I spent 3 days in Ngapali and after tasting prawn red curry I couldn't go anywhere else. It was not only the food but surprisingly coctails were delicious equally.
The most appreciated was the service. The very nice owner who comes to check himself if everything is allright. And nothing could beat the steamed banana in a coconut sauce. I recommend this place to everybody.
Yummie, yumiee!!!!

“A small but good restaurant on the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The people who run this restaurant are very nice and attentive. We enjoyed our dinner here. Nice to be out on the beach. Lots of choice of the usual Myanmar beach food. Interesting drinks on menu.

“Sooooooooooo good !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We literally stuffed ourselves here and everything was wonderful. Even the mixed drinks were well done, and there is plenty of beer if you prefer. The prawns were especially delicious and it is amazing what they can do with a tiny kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. For variety, we tried a couple of other restaurants on the beach, but came back here as it was the best we found.

“a gem on the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Our experience at this beach side restaurant was excellent overall. Food was really good, service freindly and warm and would have been quick if someone had NOT brought their dog to the restaurant and he bit the iceman who was making a delivery. This took a little time away from the tables as they were helping the poor man. Dogs belong on a leash! if they are a personal pet.
Very clean and they use sterilized water for everything. I hope he can stay in business.
