Though it's quite a distance from the airport, it's still worth a visit to stay overnight. Lovely banyan trees in itself has its charm. Once inside the cave, (one can get lost easily as it's really huge but truly magical and interesting). The locals come here on a pilgrimage mission. Interestingly, there was a "maze-like" area amidst the Buddhas and makes it more exciting to walk about...discovering more Buddha statues of every size and colour.... further in one sees more stalactites and stalacmites or columns..
A pitstop on the way back to a local market in the morning is a must, and the journey along the roadside with young novice monks or nuns receiving offerings is picturesque!
