Dear guests!

Viman Vang Vieng is now in the new address at the street, which from the old airport or city entrance leads to Silver Naga Hotel and Hospital. The Restaurant has now music bar for jam session and a gallery. I enjoy to meet you again and wish you all the best!

“A great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

When we came here we were the only guests - I guess the toll bridge keeps away people (though it's really not expensive)
The cook had time for a chat. I enjoyed the Radler which is really special with homemade lemonade. For our curry dishes the cook went to his garden, picked some herbs and explained them to us. Food was delicious and seated right next to the river we had a great evening.

“Try the homemade lemonade”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

After a hot day of kayaking, we decided to walk across the toll bridge and came across Mr Kaz. He stopped to chat and we ended up having a drink. I ordered the lemon drink, not expecting anything much as it was really cheap. But it was delicious, made from scratch. The building itself is very simple but charming. Also very interesting to talk to Mr Kaz and hear about his life. Just a shame that the bridge has a toll as it may put people off.

“Unique place in Vang Vieng”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Incredible restaurant next to the wood bridge on the other side of the river. Amazing environment, excellent service by the owner, who cooks Lao, Thai and German food in a homemade way. A large number of animals around: ducks, hens, chickens and cows, which will make kids have a whale of a time.

“Great Food in a Great Locale!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

What to eat, what to eat? This is the dilemma my husband and I were facing on our second day in Vang Vieng. We walked to the south and crossed the city's toll bridge that leads to Maylyn GH and "discovered" the Viman Vang Vieng. The restaurant was run by Kaz, a very charismatic Thai, who was born in Bangkok and spent 34 years in Germany. We started off the meal with a radler beer that was mixed with fresh homemade lemonade - delicious! My husband ordered the schnitzel and papaya salad while I ordered the laap. Kaz went to his garden and picked fresh herbs and turned these simple, basic ingredients into something spectacular! Both the schnitzel and the laap were very tasty and the papaya salad was cool, refreshing, and definitely had some heat!
I would highly recommend the Viman Vang Vieng!
