The staff were friendly enough and helpful and the place was deserted, we were the only guests here for our three nights, but that isn't that surprising as it is almost 2 km from the town centre. We stayed here as it is out of the way and close to a lot of the rock climbing in Vang Vieng, unfortunately the climbing we found was not the most inspiring and instead ended up going to a much better place 20 km north with a group that met up at Adam's Climbing School. The room felt a little tired and old but we had no major issues here, but be fair it wasn't average just not quite a 4 star, very good kind of place. Saying that the rooms are a good size considering how cheap it is. It is right next to a small bamboo bridge across the river and I would recommend going across for a small fee and exploring the area, the locals were very friendly and it is a beautiful area. It is fine for a budget place and very nice if you want to see the beautiful scenery but avoid the town which feels a world away from Luang Prabang. Highly recommend renting a bicycle from town if you are going to stay here otherwise there'll be a lot of walking or tuk tuk rides involved.
