Thanks for your positive feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay.

We hope the following gives readers some help in making a decision in whether to include Vang Vieng on your itinerary:

After a spate of alcohol related drownings, the government tore down the riverside bars, which was the main attraction for many backpacker. This severely reduced tourist numbers, although tubing is still a popular activity.

About 6 weeks ago we used a tripadvisor announcement to put in a link to an Australian documentary showing the adverse effects this had on tourism on Vang Vieng. Since there is so much else to do in Vang Vieng and it is such a beautiful place, the downturn has turned out to be temporary. There are people now who had previously never heard of Vang Vieng who are coming here to see what all the fuss was about!

We found the place when we were passing the street. We have asked for massage and it was very good. Next day we have checked at the hotel. I was travelling with friends. We spend 4 nights, here. The owner (Mr. Loay) is very friendly, informative and great guy. He and his wife (Fai) also running the business. I had a room next to the terrace. It's awesome. I've enjoyed the panoramic view and the coffee in the morning. I got nice hot shower. The Room is basic but clean. The young boy (Pokhee) is such a lovely boy. He is learning English. I could recommend Mesha View Guest house. We've enjoyed our stat here. I might come back here. Friends don’t miss it.

Room Tip: Rooms with the terrace have a great panoramic view.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for the positive feedback! We hope to rise up the rankings as reviews like yours indicate that people enjoy staying for a bit longer to get to know some of the local Vang Vieng people, not just to socialise with other visitors. And to encourage people to stay a little longer, please check out our Special Offer on tripadvisor or on our website.

Our time at the Mesah View Guesthouse was great. The location is great and the staff are wonderfully friendly. I would recommend Mesah to any who would like to be closer to Laos locals. Being just up the road from the night life also means it us a nice quite place to rest on those days you just don't have the energy to party.

Thanks to Loay, pookkee and all the mesahview's staff!
We had really good time there!
Rooms are clean with en suite and hot shower. They provide free wifi and tea/coffee.
Excellent location, not in the noisy area and not far from the center. Great sunset view!
Well run activities. We really enjoyed kayaking!
You can also book a bus ticket for your next destination.
I recommand this place!

I had a great time staying here. Loay and family make great hosts. The rooms rival some of the most expensive in vang vieng yet this place is half the price. It is a short walk to the centre of town which is no bad thing since its quiet at night but still easy to get where you want to go. Recommended.

The friendliest family run apartments I've seen. I stayed here for 3weeks while working and loay and his cool family are extremely honest and welcoming. The rooms were an amazing price and there was free coffee and fruit in a morning. The wifi is included and he wud always put on the English footie for me. Highly recommend and Laoy will help u with anything!
