“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

This place was recommended to us by our guesthouse.
Enjoyed our dinner here.
Overall, food here is not bad, price is reasonable.
Thought some of the staffs don't speak English at all.
All that's needed is the menu and some finger pointing to order our food.
:)

“Delicious Laos / Thai food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

Freshly cooked, scrumptious food served in generous but not overwhelming portions. AMD is well worth the 10 mins walk from the main strip, and offers reasonably priced dishes.

“Loved it, great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Very simple and basic restaurant about 100 meters south of the paid bridge next to the Riverside Boutique Hotel (the location in Tripadvisor is incorrect as somebody thankfully had already pointed out). We stayed at the Riverside Boutique hotel so it was only a 5 minute walk to get here. A sweet hard working family providing great food for a fantastic price. The kids loved the chicken with cashew nuts and the satay. I personally loved the Pad Thai. The curries were good too but the kids favourite were the banana fritters (we went twice and the second time we ordered two plates). For 5 people including beer and shared desserts you spend no more than US$25. Great value for good quality and delicious food. I have nothing but respect for this hard working family. It's a little south of town but worth a visit if you stay there. And if you're close (or at) Riverside Boutique you can basically crawl to this place that's how close it is. Do go!

“Just great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

Several other reviews explain how to find this amazing little restaurant and considering it's not exactly on the backpacker route, there is a reason why it's so highly rated on TripAdvisor.

There is quite an extensive menu of Laos and Thai style food and everything I tried was authentic, full flavoured and well presented. Service was very prompt for what seemed to be a husband and wife team. Prices are cheap and portion sizes were not over facing but satisfying, most dishes also include rice in the price.

They don't show friends continually, so if that's your thing best to walk on by. However if you want to skip the pizza places, Irish bars and Indian curries and instead try some great tasting, homemade, wholesome, regional food, you can't beat A.M.D.

“Great local and thai food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014 via mobile

Our guesthouse recomended this place as was near by and was one of the best thai and laos food of our trip. Its a basic resteraunt decor wise but that adds to the charm. Only food was havnt added any spice, lime etc as was perfectly balanced. Its a little out from the main strip only by ten minutes but well worth the walk.
