“A Great Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

I highly recommend staying at this hotel if staying in Vang Vieng. It is a quiet peaceful place that is very scenic. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and have nice views. The host is extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast area is an open deck with a lovely view of the lush green landscape without a building in sight. We ended up staying for an extended time because it was so comfortable and well priced. It is a bit of a walk to the center of town where all the bars and restaurants are, about 10 minutes, but it was worth the bit of exercise. They also offer free water, tea, and coffee.

A nice guesthouse on the outskirts of town. Comfortable bed and nice size room. About a 10 or 15 minutes walk to the center of the town area. Fairly close to the blue lagoon and other caves. Nice staff. Good fruit salad for breaky.

Cosy guesthouse with spacious, clean rooms, a nice common room and friendly owners.
Nice breakfast with free coffee and tea during the day.

Quiet location, a 10-minute walk from the center and near a nice place to swim (ask tips in the hotel, they love to help you).

The hotel also arranges day trips to the regular prices.

From the moment we arrived at Jammee we were made to feel 'at home'. We were offered a drink after our journey and looked at the rooms. The room was very clean and comfortable - one of the best in Laos so far. Breakfast is included in the price and there is enough choice on the menu to have variety over 3-4 days. All of good quality and nothing too much of a chore for Sim, the owner. Also, in the afternoon the lounge area was a great place to relax with complimentary tea or coffee. Overall, a great place to chill out and relax if that's what you are looking for.

Pros:
-You felt like an honoured guest, not a paying customer. Nothing was too much trouble. Even picked us up from the bus station.
-You can change money, organise onward transport, book tours with the friendly owner.
-Room with a balcony had an amazing view.
-Clean bathroom.
-Free tea, coffee and water.
-Best wifi in Laos during our stay.
-Breakfast area (covered outdoor) was charming and peaceful with beautiful views of rice fields and mountains.
-Breakfast was simple but moreish.

Cons:
-Electrical fault caused the light bulb in the bathroom to blow twice.
-Laundry service was expensive. (10,000 KIP)

Visited Vang Vieng September this year and stayed there for 2 nights. It's a lovely bungalow located at the end of the main road. It's a bit further away from the main street but it's still walking distance to the restaurants and shops. We joined the day tour (kayak and tubing) recommended by them and we really had a lot of fun. The room is big and clean, and the breakfast is awesome too.

Me and my friends 2 girl arrived to Vang Vieng Bus Station, we a bit nervous that we don't know where we are. We called to the guest house owner Jammee. Jammee arrived within 10 min to pick us to his guesthouse. We feel happy and safety with this arrangement when we arrived a wonder place.
Jammee can speak fluent english, we have any question and problem, he will serve us patient.

The bicycle rental shop is just 3 min walk from Jammee Guesthouse. The guesthouse located at good area to avoid the noisy in Vang Vieng but still close to the central of Vang Vieng.

Since we have booked another guesthouse(Cliff View) through agoda, we have to leave Jammee guesthouse on our second day. The cliff view hotel is under construction, the bridge to the Ciff view hotel was broke, we are unable to go there but we already paid for the hotel. Luckily Jammee helped us to find the hotel's relative and finally we can stay another hotel without extra charges.

Thanks Jammee helped us a lot, we definitely will choose Jammee Guesthouse again!
