I have to say this is just the most beautiful B & B, and the ultimate in friendliness, cleanlliness , comfort and fabulous breakfasts. Nothing too much trouble for the delightful Sue. I will certainly book again next year, and have already recommended to several people who enjoy weekends away.A real bonus not to charged for single occupany!! Easy to find and is set in a delightful village where there is an excellent pub, if required.

Stone build Kelling House, on the doorstep of the fabulous Nation Trust property Belton House, is first rate. There is a real air of quality and sophistication about it and owner Sue Evans skilfully manages to combine this with a welcoming and easy feel. We stayed at Kelling whilst visiting relatives in the area and used the house a as base for walking the Viking Trail, staying longer to visit Belton House and the city of Lincoln, for which there is a regular bus service. There are great places to eat locally, gourmet to good pub food and Sue has a comprehensive list to meet all tastes. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and immaculately clean, with individual touches which blend so well with the age (1700s I think) and setting of the property. Kelling is a real gem, Sue is very generous with her time and knowledge and we feel very lucky to have found it.

If you're looking for a great B&B in the Grantham area, then look no further than Kelling House in the nearby conservation village of Barkston. It's like staying with friends and family as you are warmly welcomed by Sue Evans who does her very best to make you feel very much at home. On our arrival after a long journey we were offered tea and home made cake and biscuits. Our double bedroom was wonderful with magazines and books everywhere. The en-suite facilities were perfectly adequate, even if the wash basin was a bit on the small side. Fresh fruit salad and a full English made the breakfast really tasty. We enjoyed Sue's B&B so much that we decided to stay over for an extra day, as there's plenty to see and do in the area. The house is made up of three charming stone cottages dating from 1785 and there is a beautiful large south facing garden to enjoy.
Highly recommended and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again.
