“A very nice hotel near Geras gulf, Lesvos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days with a friend of mine in July 2013. It was really nice, very clean in a superb green area near the Geras Gulf, beautiful view from the balcony. The hotel was built 30 years ago but it was refurbished 3-4 years ago. It consists of 4-5 different buildings in a beatiful green area of the island near the sea front. It is more than anyone could hope for a relatively good price of 65 euros a day. The breakfast was more than acceptable. It had a wide variety of sweet and salty asortiments, coffee, tea, fruits, corn flakes, cakes, pies etc The good thing is that the hotel is near the town of Lesvos only 8 km from it. I believe that the managers should put more effort into advertising this hotel as it is superb. I recommend it without any hesitation. When on Lesvos island, I will go definitely at the hotel.

We chose the hotel because of location - were seeking for relaxation after a hard period of work and yet possibility to go shopping etc. somewhere near. The hotel is 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the capital - can´t get better than that :). The entire hotel area is big, very beautiful and well kept and the views to the Gulf are spectacular especially from the sea bank restaurant. We loved: The service - thank you George & Andrea and others! The beach, though pebbled, very good for swimmers. The breakfast taverna & breakfast. The pine trees and other plants around the yards.
Our room was simple but clean a nice view from the balcony. Worth mentioning is the ancient nearby (15 min. walk) mineral water spa, do try it´s worth it. However take your own drinks as there are none there. The Mytilene town is also worth seeing - lots of beautiful old buildings churches aso. great shopping!
We were happy with our choice and can recommend the hotel to anybody.

Location is ok but the beach of the hotel is not good
Swimming pool is so and so, warm water and no proper cleaning and filtering
Rooms are renovated but the 501 range block is noisy cause of the adjacent road
Prefer 300-400 range blocks and rooms on ground floor cause upper rooms are very warm and you'll have to blast AC all night
Had to change room cause it had a strange smell and noise.
Prices are ok and the restaurant is decent and cheap
Breakfast is average but sufficient.
Reception staff is great.
Wifi available all over (ask them to open all hotspots if needed)
You need a car to visit.

We spent a pleasant few days at the Mytilana Village this June and enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and the pool was very relaxing after hot days in the sun. The rooms themselves were somewhat basic, but clean and of a reasonable standard. If you stay here you will certainly require a car as there is nothing around the hotel, but it isn't far away from Mytilene by car (say 5 minutes). My only slight criticism is that we came fairly early in the season and not all of the hotels facilities were open, such as the poolside or beach bar. However, we had a nice relaxing stay and the breakfast was of a good standard.

Wonderful hotel clean suitable for families and couples. Rich breakfast. Very helpful staff. I stayed there at the end of April. The only negative was that only in the reception had WiFi. One little advise independent of the hotel avoid at any cost to rent a car from National Car Rentals in Mytilene I had a very bad experience with totally damaged and filthy car.

Room Tip: Room with a sea view and the double steel beds

My husband and I spent our wedding night at this hotel after the reception nearby, as I am from the island. We did not need to stay at the hotel more than one night because we stayed at home the rest of our time there. However, we would have been happy to stay more time in the hotel. Our room was lovely, with very nice antique furniture and a balcony with view to the sea (at the back of the hotel). It was extremely quiet and we had a very good sleep after all the wedding anxiety, preparations and partying. The staff were very nice (they had recommended the room for our honeymoon and they even offered us complimentary breakfast in our balcony even past the usual time. The bathroom was spotless and pretty with good water pressure and dark marble (although space was a bit of an issue, especially in the bathtub). This is the best hotel I have stayed in at the island and we highly recommend it as an easy place to stay and explore the rest of the island with a hire car, it is located in the middle of the island on the Gulf of Gera and is half an hour from the airport by car. The views are very pretty (on the photos are views around one kilometre away from the hotel, where the reception took place, next to the hotspring baths, which are open to the public).
