I couldn't have designed a more Zen-like place to stay for a spa/hotel trip. Staff was friendly and accomodating, room was simple, clean, and comfortable. The hotel feels like a collection of mountain cabins instead of a hotel. Most of the rooms come with some type of patio. Mine looked out into a quaint and peaceful courtyard with a pond and trees.

Each day I found some little creative niche/nook on the property where one could easily sit and write in a journal, read, or just take in the beauty of Zion. Starting or ending the day with a walk up the Nature Trail to the labryinth just added to the experience.

The on-site day spa was fabulous! No matter if it was a pedicure, massage, or mud wrap, each treatment made me relax all the more. If you're only going to do one, definitely go for the Ultimate Body Treatment - you will not want to leave the room.

I will definitely be heading back to Flanigan's...you should too!!

I stayed here on my recent trip to Zion. I could not have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is one shuttle stop (free town shuttle) from the park entrance. The room was spacious enough for 5 girls, a rollaway and lots of luggage. The onsite restaraunt was great as well.

We paid $159 plus tax per night for 2 nights for a patio room. Big mistake!!! The room is horrible. The patio turns out to be a back-vent area for the AC. They practically put 2 chair and a table 2 feet away from the AC and called it a patio. The room is clean. However, it is very dark and sad. With beautiful view around Zion, this room has only one small Motel-6 type of window. Oh, and it is a fake window (can't be opened). DO NOT get room#113 if you must stay at Flanigan's Inn. (We know that we will never stay here again). Stay at Desert Pearl instead.

The service is nothing to write home about either. The lobby clerk had the TV which located on the other side of the lobby so loud so she can listen to a game. I turned the TV off to get some peace and quiet while reading thinking that no one is watching it. She came over and wanted back on. Maybe the hotel manager/owner should get the lobby clerk her own TV.....

  • Liked — Location of hotel.
  • Disliked — Room is lousy. Small window. Dark.

I stayed in room 103 which had no view and just a plain old "Motel 8" type room. It was an old, tired, sad room with mold growing in the bathroom tiles. Carpet, mattress, TV, among others, require refurnishings. I guess it was a room in one of the older buildings. If you get stuck in one of these, you're toast.

I liked the location. Just 3 minute drive to the Zion gate.
There was a cafetaria and supermarket at the Zion gate to grab sandwiches and drinks.

The restaurant Spotted Dog on the premise was great.

For the price, definitely not worth the stay.

I agree with all the positives. Location, cleanliness, service. All great.
But, we did not get one second of sleep.
In August, the room was very hot and the A/C is too loud to keep on at night. Our king room did not have a casablanca fan.
The windows don't open and the patio light is on all night, so leaving the patio door open didn't occur to us for a) the light factor b) annoyance of bugs. Our friends had two bees in their room already. We didn't want to risk a bug fight.

I recommend this hotel otherwise, but if you don't like stuffy rooms and a loud A/C will keep you awake as it did us. I would consider another option during the summer months.
