“Wow, great place great resort,”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

This hotel is ideally located in Springdale, minutes from the Zion National Park. Spacious rooms are very well equipped, for self catering, with a microwave fridge etc.

The site has a pool and laundry.

The scenery around the area is wonderful.
A free bus shuttle takes you to the top of the valley and pick up/drop off points all along the way.

Ideal for families and couples. EXCELLENT

We spent a couple of nights here during our travels around Nevada and Arizona. This is a superb facility, rooms are great staff are very friendly and helpful. Located 5 mins from the Zion Canyon visitor centre and on the shuttle route it is superb for getting to the Canyon for a hike. The canyon is superb with some fantastic views. Jane loved the local restaurants and shops which can be walked to in the evening - excellent!!

My husband and I stayed here 1 night for our 1st anniversary. We wish we could have stayed longer! We spent the night in a King Suite on the second floor facing the river. Couldn't have asked for anything more. The room is spacious and the decor is modern and updated. The staff was very helpful at the front desk and recommended some restaurants-- we ended up at the Oscar Cafe and it was great! They also let us know that we could pick from a large supply of complimentary movies-- it worked out nice because it stormed for a bit. Waking up with a private deck looking at a breathtaking view and listening to the river is pretty unbeatable. Oh and the pool/spa area is very nicely landscaped and quite spacious for this quaint little town! Can't wait to come go back someday!

Stayed at desert pearl for 2 nights in September. Clean comfortable room, comfy bed, wonderful customer service from the staff. Shuttle to park is in front of hotel, loved the location of this hotel! The pool and the hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking.Room was spotless. We stayed at Zion lodge for the other 2 nights of our vacation and it was ok-I thought it would be more peaceful than the Desert Pearl but it was not due to the endless line of tour buses that started loading at 6am outside of our window. Go for the river view room at the pearl if you can get it!

Room Tip: Go for the river view if available

This is a very nice, very convenient place to stay when visiting Zion.
It is very close to the entrance to the park; the town shuttle bus stops in front of hotel, and it is walking distance to several restaurants and the grocery store. If I came back to Zion, I would certainly stay here again

We are big fans of the US national parks, and Zion is one of our favorites. In general, we stay in the park lodges because our top priority is to step out the door into the attractions. Zion is the exception. We always stay at Desert Pearl and we always go for a riverside room. Sit on the deck looking out over the Virgin River at the surrounding red rock formations to see that a stay at Desert Pearl is right up there with a stay at the Zion Lodge. Hop on the Springdale shuttle (there's a stop right in front of DP) to ride 5 minutes up to the Park. And you get this outstanding room, a very nice pool to entertain the kids and soothe muscles sore from Zion's awesome hiking, Springdale's nice assortment of good restaurants (I think that DP has a restaurant under construction--looking forward to that!)

Room Tip: The Riverside Rooms are the way to go.

Stayed here for 2 nights in order to do some hiking and picture taking at Zion National Park. We had a first floor room that overlooked the pool. Very spacious and came with a kitchenette that had plates and cutlery. There was a nice patio to sit on and watch the cliffs light up at sunrise. The check in was brief and the staff very helpful. The king bed was wonderful. I think it was a pillow top or something like it. Very comfortable, especailly after a day of hiking! Easy walk to shopping and good restaurants. My only complaint, being a smoker, you can only smoke in designated smoking areas on the property. There was one area in the parking lot and one by the pool. I don't smoke in hotel rooms but I do like to be able to step out on the patio and have one. But all in all it was worth the slight inconvenience of having to walk out into the parking lot.
