I feel almost like an outcast for daring to make a few suggestions. I hope these will be interpreted as constructive. Yes, this property is worthy of its accolades as the always "full up" response to recent reservation requests attest. We booked into a brand new wing (the 600 block) and were given the upper floor. In the room was a huge 42" flat screen TV and state of the art climate control. The problem was that no one in the front office could explain how to operate the remote for the climate control or which channels were availabe on the TV. Given the majesty of Zion, why would anyone want to watch TV??!! There was also the problem of the overhang blocking much of the view of the mountains that so many reviewers love. When we book into the hotel next time--and there will definitely be a next time--I will request a lower room so that the roof does not obscure the view. One contributor mentioned the outbreak all over Utah (it was in the papers) affecting pools. There was a small warning posted on top of the front desk. I am frankly surprised there was nothing posted by the pool area. I only hope that this situation has improved and that the pool is once again safe. Please check with the local heath agency. The whole room was spotless and shiny, especially the bathroom. What's also refreshing is the attitude and outlook of the guests who stay here. I've never seen such happy people!

I can only second what the previous reviewer said. See attached pictures. This place is #4 on National Geographics Hidden Gems, or something close, and with good reason. Strongly recommended.

We stayed at this property for three nights while visiting Zion National Park. We reserved a king river view room, which gave us much more privacy than the pool view rooms had. The rooms have very large windows -- practically one entire wall is a window -- so if you have a pool view room, people by the pool can actually look all the way into your room. The pool was great, especially after some long hikes in the park. One problem -- due to the outbreak of some recreational water disease, the property posted a warning that people under 5 years old were not allowed in the pool, but there was no one to enforce the rule and people took their babies (in diapers which, it appears, could spread the disease) swimming. Thankfully, I did not see anyone taking their babies into the outdoor hot tub, so we were able to enjoy it.
The room was very large, with stylish Southwestern decor, a very comfortable bed with pillows I could not get enough of. There was a separate sitting area, a beautiful patio, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker in a small kitchen-type area. In addition, you can rent free movies from the check-in desk to watch in your room.
The bathroom was large as well, with a separate bidet, excellent water pressure, and a separate room where the sink and the laundry closet was located.
The housekeeping always cleaned the room promptly and refilled the amenities.
In addition, the free shuttle stop is right next to the hotel (which is very close to the park entrance).
We really liked this place and would definitely return.

Great hotel and attentive staff. The riverside room we stayed at was very chic and rustic at the same time. Great location. We will definitely stay there again.

We spent a week hiking Zion and Bryce Canyons, and staying at the Desert Pearl was a highlight. More expensive than some other hotels in the area - but it was worth every penny. I recommend the River View rooms for their awesome location - stay on the second floor if you don't mind carrying your bags up the stairs. The stars at night are worth the cost of the room.

We split our time between the Best Western Zion and Desert Pearl - this hotel won hands down.
