“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2010

We stayed in one of the new cottages set back from the road down near the Virgin River. There was a nice path along the river for a short walk to the Zion National Park. There was no road noise, all we heard was the nice sound of the tumbling river. It was very clean and luxurious. There were two bedrooms, one with a king size bed while the other had two queen beds and a flat screen TV; both had quiet ceiling fans and very comfortable beds and pillows. There was a large sitting area with a large flat screen TV and a leather sofa which was open to the big dining room and kitchen. Full kitchen with granite counters, a full refrigerator and oven/stove. The shady deck overlooking the river had a amazing view of the mountains of Zion National Park. This would be absolutely perfect for a large or extended family. My husband loved it so much that he wanted to move into it!!

First off, I stayed 1 night -- $160. Considering the nearness of this place to the entrance of Zion (1/4 mile walk) -- this was the perfect jumping off point for Zion.

The room was extremely clean, the amenities in the room were perfect ( shower and a big bath). The view was amazing. The grounds were impeccable... they even had a little beach along the river (and a fire pit)...

It was absolutely worth it -- and for what we got and it's proximity to the park, this was a a bargain.

We absolutely loved staying at the Cliffrose. The setting is unbelivably beautiful. On both sides of the hotel you see the high red cliffs of Zion, but I highly recommend the river view rooms. They overlook lush gardens full of hollyhocks, roses, native wildflowers, and some colorful annuals. The pool is warm and well landscaped. You also have easy access to the river for tubing or wading. The walk to Zion's entrance is about a block, so you easily go from the great outdoors to your relaxing room with ease. Zion itself is a dream with a shuttle system that frees you to travel the park without a vehicle. The room itself was comfortable with a small patio and two comfortable outdoor chairs. Each patio has a hummingbird feeder and they are fascinating to watch as they hover about and land to feed. There was a coffee maker and hairdryer in our large room. The beds were comfy and drapes and comforters were bright and contemporary in design. The bathroom had a new granite vanity top and excellent lighting. The tub didn't look as new as other bathroom items, but it was still clean and fine for either a soak or shower. There's not a restaurant, but you are in a small tourist town with free shuttles, so there are plenty of easily accessible places within minutes of the motel. To have a room this nice, in such an ideal setting, and at a reasonable price was amazing!! We won't hesitate to go back.

The Cliffrose Lodge and Gardens was one of the highlights of our trip to Utah. We had a two bedroom, two bath cottage that was beautifully arranged for privacy and comfort. Both bathrooms were roomy with dual sinks/vanities. One bedroom had a king size bed and the other had two queen size beds - very comfortable. Both bedrooms and the den had LCD TVs and satellite reception. The kitchen was very neat and clean with every appliance and convenience provided. The cottage also had a good sized deck in the rear that faced the beautiful orange colored mountains. The mountains felt close enough to touch. The Virgin River ran below and was a peaceful sound while on the deck. The Cliffrose also had a laundry, pool, hot tub, and a beautiful flower garden. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The town of Springdale was also a jewel, with many nice restuarants and shops. Breakfast was not provided by the Cliffrose, but there was a good restuarant next door that served a great breakfast. The Cliffrose is also conveniently located to Zion National Park. A town shuttle is located directly across the street. The shuttle within Zion is also very well run and a great way to get around. This place was truly worth the price and remains a pleasant memory from our trip to Zion.

Everything about the Cliffrose was spectacular. The location was within walking distance of Zion National Park's Visitor Center, and a short walk into town. There were restaurants and a grocery store practically next door. Yet the Cliffrose was quiet, immaculate and wonderfully landscaped. A beautiful floral arrangement was the first thing we saw when we opened our spacious garden room door; immaculate room; convenient refrigerator and a sure-to-please wide-screen television; a balcony to sit on and gaze upon the rock walls of Zion or the colorful gardens of the property; and comfortable beds The swimming pool was appreciated as was the coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the hotel office. The staff was friendly and bent over backwards to ensure that both your needs and wishes were fulfilled. I can't say enough about this place. It afforded us a two-night memorable stay that added much to our vacation experience.

Wish we could have stayed longer, adjacent to park entry, rode our mountain bikes all the way in and out, got in the park ahead of long line of cars, great way to see the park, wonderful hotel to relax and swim for the rest of the time, gorgeously tended flowers and lawns.

We could not have asked for more...a beautiful setting and comfortable, well appointed room within walking distance of the Zion National Park Visitors Center. Wonderful gardens and grounds. We were only there for one night and wished we could stay another just to enjoy some quiet time in the gardens and a swim in the pool. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. A computer for guests, free of charge, was greatly appreciated since we were traveling without a computer. Highly pleased. The photos provided on the web are the real thing!
