“Lovely hotel; perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

We stayed two nights at Cliffrose lodge and Gardens while visiting Zion National Park. Our room and deck were so nice with a fantastic view. The grounds were so pretty with flowers everywhere. The pool was very nice with views and a great hot tub. It's a quick walk along the river to the park entrance so you don't have to get in your car once you get there. The staff in the office were all so nice and very helpful. The cafe next door is handy for breakfast and lunch and a nearby restaurant for dinner is also a quick walk. So happy we stayed here.

Room Tip: An upstairs corner room offers a larger room and a huge deck with comfy chairs as well as table and...

Let's cut to the chase... we had NO expectations for this place. When we arrived at the desk we were offered a cottage with 2 bedrooms, rather the the two singles I had reserved. It was a gift beyond compare. The rooms (one double double and one king) were well appointed and very comfortable with great bathrooms. The real treat was the fully functional kitchen, the deck overlooking the most amazing mountains, etc. Everything was perfect. We over ordered at our restaurant choice that night and on the way home we added some eggs and cheese and we had the most wonderful breakfast the next day, en-suite. Totally satisfied, recommend it highly, the staff were awesome and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: We were in # 42, incredible and worth the up charge! Ps, the gardens were also amazing and take a wa...

The location was easy walking distance to the gate of Zion National Park. Room was comfortable with exceptional views of mountains, gardens, and LOTS of hummingbirds, as well as other wildlife. Very nice accommodations. Reception staff was very helpful with recommendations for trails, predicted weather for the day, and coffee, gift shop, and cookies.

Our family stayed at the Cliffrose Lodge and Gardens for 2 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment in August. There is parking just in front of the house - so that was very convenient.

The views out of our window were amazing - you're looking right onto the peaks of the National Park!

Reception sells some basic drinks. There is a supermarket really closeby.

Both restaurants we tried out for dinner in the area (not part of the hotel) were disappointing.

We had a great time in the stream just behind the hotel within a few metres of the lodges... the pool area was nice too with a good hot tub. Reception staff was hardworking and friendly.

Housekeeping was adequate.

Both rooms had a TV and so did the living room. Both rooms had a separate bathroom - although one was better than the other with a proper closing door and not just a sliding door.

There is a small terrace on the balcony which was nice. The weather was good enough in the morning for the kids to have breakfast on the terrace.

Reception was a good walk away and calls from the room were not answered very often - probably because there was only ever one person at reception. So be prepared to walk to reception for any questions.

The rate was high but it was high season and National Parks in the US get extremely busy - so try to book really early and be prepared to pay high rates for good places!

There is a boot and equipment hire place just at the end of the walk between the Lodge and the entrance to the park - which is really great. Ensure you arrive with enough time to settle in, walk to the hire place, try out and hire the equipment before the following day if you are going to go on a hike.

The only thing that could be better in this case was to have a washing machine and dryer in the house itself - it has a kitchen with dishwasher but no washer-dryer. There was a common laundrette located near the gardens - for which you needed enough quarters for the washer and then the dryer afterwards. You had to ensure that you arrived there early - there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers and one dryer wasn't working after the first day.

The location, the gardens, the stream just behind and the size of the apartment really make up for a lot...

Just spent a week here. Enjoyed every minute. Beautifully manicured gardens. Nice pool area with incredible view. World class service with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Walked into Zion every day. The gate is literately feet from the hotel. Outstanding combination of location, amenities and value.

Made a return visit and still love the setting, rooms and service.
Feel at peace and at one with nature.
Staff here really helps you feel welcomed.
Only small issue is the maid service refilling coffees and soaps, otherwise perfect again.
