“RELAXING AND COMFORTABLE! GREAT DECOR!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2011

We enjoyed our stay at the Driftwood Lodge. We love how the rooms have been renovated! All amenities like microwave and refrigerator including wi-fi were MUCH appreciated by our teenagers! The room was clean and pool area an excellent place to relax after a long day on the Zion trails. Perfect location and easy access to downtown Springdale! We will definitely stay again!

I staid in room 404, it had a king sized bed, a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, a small sitting area and a large bathroom. The patio is located at the back of the hotel and offers beautiful views of the peaks of Zion. If you li,e to set outside, try to avoid the room 403 since it does not have a privacy screen to the left so that your neighbours can see you.

The bed is comfortable and I have the impression that the soundproofing is more than sufficient. The overall cleanness is excellent.

The pool is rather small but will do to relax after a visit to the park. The hot tub is fairly big and the temperature is perfect.

I ran repeatedly into problems with the wifi connection. I believe that the bandwidth is not sufficient and I think they need more routers.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Arrived with no reservation on a Thursday night and stayed in a suite for just $20 over a regular room rate. Both had phenomenal views from the balcony, but the suite was more private. Bed was very comfortable - as usual in hotels - pillows were way too thick. Nice pool (chilly) and spa. Convenient and clean guest laundry facilities. Had fabulous meals in the restaurant. Close to Zion National Park (WOW!!) and the town of Springdale was delightful.

I am so glad I cancelled my previous reservation in Hurricane and decided to stay in Springdale instead. Hurricane would have been much cheaper but the drive to Zion was 30 minutes! Staying in Springdale was so convenient. My brother and I stayed in the one story section of the lodge. It was very clean and large. The maid service is fast too. One night we accidentally put the "maid service" sign on the door instead of "Do not disturb" and the maid was there in less than 5 minutes!! The only thing it really could have used was a fan in the bathroom. There is a nice sized fridge and micro in the room as well. A bit pricey but so worth it to be one mile from the Zion entrance.

We stayed at the Driftwood Lodge for 3 nights. We really enjoyed the rooms – very big, very clean, with a nice terrace with a view of the mountains (in our case, not all rooms have the same view). Our room also had a microwave and a fridge, which was great because it meant we could store some beverages etc. there and have breakfast on the terrace. What we did not enjoy was the staff at reception – both ladies we encountered there were friendly and happy to help, but slow and needed information to be repeated to them several times. The other thing that we did not like, given the high price of the rooms, was that many small things have not been fully thought through from a customer perspective. E.g. there is no ironing board in the room, and the “information booklet” provided in the room contained no info on basic things such as the guest laundry, ice machines and how to access the pool. These are small things that I would have expected to be done differently at a hotel of this price – so overall, I got a bit the impression that the hotel wanted to play in a higher league than their actual service level and customer orientation allowed them.

Just about perfect. Great view of the incredible landscape. Small downside is that you can hear neighboring room noises I would highly recommend it sight unseen.

I enjoyed my stay at the Driftwood. The king suite was spacious and comfortable, and came at a very reasonable off-season rate. There were flat screen televisions in both the bedroom and lounge room. Internet was free and worked well. There was a small microwave and refrigerator. All was comfortable and the view of the Zion National Park mountains was incredible. It's a short drive to the park. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed.
