We went to Under the Eaves on April 12 & 13, 2009 and had a wonderful stay. Sat on the front porch and enjoyed the peacefulness, humming birds and beautiful views of the mountains. Slowed down our normal crazy pace and played with the 2 sweet resident dogs. Met some neat folks from Canada & Columbia and shared a few meals with them. Enjoyed the art created by Deb and took home "Catch of the Day". She was an amazing hostess who let us be. We had the "backpackers" room in the basement of the back house which was clean, simple and had a nice bath. Felt it was a great value. Also saw the rooms above the basement & will stay in them on the next visit. The vouchers for Oscars were a great idea! I loved the breakfast parfait of yogurt, homemade granola & fresh fruit. Lots of other great choices too. We liked Oscars so much we went back for dinner--their baby back ribs are amazing! Location is great, in the middle of the charming town of Springdale, with nearby shuttle service into Zion. We've been to Zion before, but staying at Under the Eaves was an unexpected bonus on this trip!
