Having driven up to Springdale for the day (from nearby Nevada) and finding the Pizza & Noodle didn't open until 4:00pm, we asked a young guy in one of the shops to recommend a place for lunch. Having worked at Sol Foods he of course recommended it. He also recommended we try one of the locally brewed beers that was served there. Having found it near the Zion Park entrance, we found that it was a a soup - salad - sandwich - wrap type of place. My wife and I each ordered the Turkey Mexican wrap and our friend ordered the gyro. We also tried a couple of pitchers of the beers on tap. Our wraps came out in a short time but we found out they did not contain the turkey, but were so good that we kept them anyway. Our friends gyro was described by her as excellent. The wraps came with a big dill pickle and corn chips, the gyro with battered french fries. The size of the wraps and gyro were quite large and we recommend that for lunch, a single wrap or gyro could feed two adults. The salad bar looked to be quite substantial as well. Also - the local microbrews were very good - not what you would expect in Utah.

This restaurant had a great selection and was without a doubt the best value in Springdale. My husband had the Gyro (Lamb and Beef in a Pita) and I had the Rockville Special (grilled chicken topped with ham, swiss cheese and a side of the best french fries I've ever had!). The next day we had a great breakfast. The staff was attentive, outgoing and knowledgeable about Zion. The market next door had EVERYTHING you'd need. plus. Overall our experience was FABULOUS!

We went to Sol foods every morning before our hike to get a sandwich to go. We had the fresh baked crossant sandwiches and the wheat bread ones. I thought they were great. They had lots of meat on each one and the crossants were very good. We had breakfast one morning also. The market attached to the sol foods has quite the gourmet selection so make sure you stop there also for your snacks or cheese and meat selections.

Its a deli; I suspect the staff is uneven.. but for what it is, and where it is located, I would definitely go back.

We stopped for a late lunch at Sol foods after a good part of the day spend hiking, and were quite pleased. Sol foods is right by the Springdale entrance of Zion Natl Park. You can take a break in the middle of the day of hiking without going more than a few yards from the inside the Park Shuttle drop-off. There were 2 outdoor patios with beautiful views pf the park.

I had eaten lunch the day before at the Zion Inn and found the salad bar at Sol foods to be superior, and at Sol foods, you pay by weight of your dish.

My husband was able to actually get a middle eastern felafel sandwich, which (while not of gourmet quality) was still an unexpected treat to find in Utah. And you can get a beer as well.
