“Great Ribeye Steak & Fantastic German Chocolate Cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We ate dinner at the Bit & Spur on two nights. The service was excellent both nights even though the restaurant was extremely busy. The wait staff was very attentive. Crowd noise was not an issue. Food was fantastic. Had ribeye steak was fantastic and cooked to perfection. We had a mixed berry crisp and german chocolate cake with home made coconut ice cream. I'm not a huge fan of german chocolate cake, but their was wonderful. They also served mahimahi fish tacos for dinner that were out of sight.

“Ordinary service. Food simply bad.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Once in a while you cross a restaurant that simply does not match your minimum in terms of food quality. That was it for Bit and Spur.

“Not as good as travel book stated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

The food was ok, but overrated from Fodor's guide. The wait staff and maiter d were frankly a little full of themselves.

“Southwest cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The sign out front says Bit & Spur Southwest Grill, but most internet references are to Bit & Spur Restaurant and Saloon. Same address, maybe a new name? Anyway, this was an excellent choice for dinner. Very interesting menu, very strong focus on southwest cuisine. Service was personal and attentive. Nice garden/landscaping. Nice outdoor seating if weather permits (I think it usually does!). I would be happy to return and further explore the menu. (Actually I ordered a special, Mahi Mahi tacos which were wonderful).

“good food; very popular;”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Arrived post-sunset on a Saturday night in the offseason; 2 large tables of 12 had just been seated, so it was a bit of a wait. (We didn't have a reservation.) Ended up on the patio, but NOT underneath a heater, so it was fine at first, but got COLD as the sun sent down
