“We stayed and extra day”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

What a find! Alan and JoNell will meet your needs as they did ours. We were so comfortable at Canyon Vista we stayed and extra day. The breakfast coupon we used at Oscars was amazing and delicious. The stars out on the patio were breath taking and we sat there for an hour just gazing. The appoointments in the rooms were impecable. After long hikes coming back to the Canyon Vista wasrelaxing and like coming home. We will be back for a longer stay next time not only for the accomodations, but the hospitality. We felt like family. We also had an opportunity to meet the owner and he was just as concerned our stay meet our needs.

We're glad you found Canyon Vista, and that you changed your plans to stay an extra day! We hope you'll always consider our lodge to be your home away from home because we certainly consider you to be part of our Canyon Vista Family! We're not sure, but we're guessing that you mean't to give us a review of 5 overall, since you gave us 5's on each category you ranked...ahhh the quirks of technology.... Looking forward to having you return soon!! Warmly, Ken & Carolyn Dailey, owners; Alan & JoNell Jensen, Innkeepers

Walking distance from the center of town, or a quick shuttle ride, Canyon Vista's quiet, idyllic location made it the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing and hiking. Our suite was on the ground floor, in the back, so was away from the main road. We had a peaceful evening of pizza, wine and stargazing outside on the swing seat right by the Virgin River, in the company of Bob, the friendly next-door kitty. We followed that with a blissful hour in the outdoor hot tub under the stars (Heaven! and much needed after hiking!) Watched the sunrise from our window next morning, with a cup of hot chocolate! Breakfast at Oscar's followed later that morning.....Yummy Huevos Rancheros! The room was beautifully appointed, and impeccably clean. Our hosts, Allan and Jonelle were friendly and informative about the park. We can't wait to go back....I would not stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: Back rooms have a little less road noise, and you can hear the river if you open the window!

We had a wonderful stay at Canyon Vista Lodge. Four of us stayed in the Kinesava Mountain Suite - my husband and I and two young-adult children. It was great having access to a fridge, microwave and electric kettle for simple meals. Breakfast at Oscars was delicious and it was very easy to get to the park (by driving in or taking the shuttle from just up the road). The views from the Lodge are stunning and my husband and son enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub one evening under a huge, starry sky. Alan gave us some excellent tips for hiking (we took all his advice and felt we covered a lot of stunning ground in just a few days). The room was very nicely and simply decorated with elegant, solid furniture. The fountain outside our door cleverly masked the sound of cars on the main road.

Our daughter got a tummy bug and ended up spending quite a bit of time at the Lodge and Jonelle kindly brought her some mint tea.

Overall, we had a wonderful trip and would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to make another visit to Zion.

we booked canyon vista based on trip advisor reports and we were not disappointed. we stayed in the Sinewava Falls Suite and found it very clean and comfortable.their approach to the traditional b&b is interesting; they offer breakfast vouchers which can be used at 2 local restaurants instead of an in-house breakfast (i highly recommend oscars). the only negatives that can be said are minor; the tv is difficult to see from the bed and the shower faucet needs to be replaced. the check in was quick and easy as was the check out, and we found alan and jonelle very accommodating and a pleasure to talk with about the park and local restaurants.

You won't regret a stay in one of the spacious suites - perfectly equipped, nicely decorated and operated from a very friendly an helpful couple. We came to Canyon Vista Lodge on our way from the Zion Nationalpark. As we intended to stay the other day in the park again, we were looking for an accomodiation near by. The Motel Chains like Best Western and so on were very expensive in Springdale, so we tried it in Rockville, the next village - without success, because the owners of few B&B's were not at home. On our way back to Springdale we stopped at Canyon Vista Lodge and were lucky. We got our suite for a very good price because it was already late evening. Everything was perfect - we could even use the hot tube / jacuzzi outside in the beautiful garden and watch the stars. We also got a very good recommendation for a restaurant ("pizza & noodles", with a very nice porch / patio). In the end we did not pay more than for a common Motel like Best Western in the citycenter of Springdale - but got a lot more than just a place to sleep!

We stayed in the Kinesava Mountain Suite. Very spacious, comfortable, and beautiful room. My only complaint, really, is that the bathroom was a bit small with no shelves or counter space for our toiletries. I ended up placing all of our toiletries on the kitchen counter, just outside the bathroom -- which wasn't ideal. But other than that, everything else was very nice. The owner of the b&b was kind, and was always available to answer questions or give advice, if requested.

This resort as a clean and refreshing feel with the added charm of a historic bed and breakfast. The hot tub under the stars was a perfect way to end the after a hike through zion's national park. Our room was clean and organized, the bathroom amenities were sufficient and very much appreciated. Thanks to the breakfast voucher, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal at one of the two specified locations complements of canyon vista. great vacation spot for family or a romantic getaway
