“Great location, awesome host!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Our first visit to Zion national park began with great experience staying at Canyon Vista bed and breakfast. Awesome location, right in town, close to shops and to the Zion park entrance. Ken was an awesome host allowing us to check in late with short notice. Our room was imaculate, smoke free, cozy and equipt with everything you may need to make you feel at home. Everything in the room is new and in a working order. After our long drive it was nice to stay in a cottage like environment. The shower with plenty of pressure and hot water brought a smile to my wife's face. In the morning I was able to brew my coffee, watch the news on brand new flat screen cable ready tv.  We were so well rested after our night stay that we were ready for the multiple hikes ahead of us.
Ken not only an awesome host, but an awesome guide. He gave us great tips what to see and what to do in Zion park. And we did!  And we must say it was an excellent advice!
Wow! For breakfast we had a choice between two restaurants. We chose Oscar's and it was delicious.
This room is a bargain and he could easily charge twices much and it would still be worth it. Thank you Ken for a perfect stay!!!
Saul & Ekaterina.

We rented every room for 4 days and stayed over Christmas. This was our gift to our entire family and their spouses. The hosts were extremely accomodating and we couldn't have planned a better Christmas away from the hustle and bustle and distractions at home. We were able to spend quality family time in a gorgeous setting. Everyone including the small grandkids and even the teenagers loved being able to explore Zion's in the day and play games in evenings. Accomodations were awesome and comfortable. The hot tub was great. One evening deer were in the backyard and a fox scrambled across the parking lot. The animals were abundant in Zion's (Deer, Turkey, Crane). This will be a vacation we will always remember and don't think we will ever be able to duplicate. Thanks for making it a success Jonelle and Alan!

The B&B is just far enough outside of town to be away from cars etc, but still has a breathtaking view of the surrounding red cliffs. The hot tub was awesome on a cold night with the moon reflecting off the snow and cliffs. The caretakers were friendly and available. We booked their smallest room but, being the only guests, they upgraded us to a larger one for free. We also appreciated the little kitchenette in the room (microwave, sink, dishes, knives, cutting boards) as we were camping and had a lot of our own food already. So we saved money on dinner and again on breakfast with the voucher. Breakfast at Oscar's was HUGE and we ate the leftovers for lunch in the park. Caretakers were also very friendly to us as a same gendered couple and we felt comfortable with being ourselves. Not always true in Utah! Wished we had stayed two nights!

My husband, three kids, and myself stayed at Canyon Vista the week of Thanksgiving. We enjoyed our spacious, clean room and very nice caretakers. My children had a great time playing in the big back yard and going in the jacuzzi after a long hike. The breakfast vouchers saved us alot of money as well. We will be going back next year!

This is our third time to Canyon Vista and we were impressed with the beautiful furnishings in the Sinawava suite. The shaker motif is a perfect compliment to the dark hardwood floors, stone, and canyon art. We love to stay here because it is quite, just far enough out of town to feel secluded, and the perfect spot for any Zion's Canyon adventure. I think it is a great value. We love the food voucher for Oscar's. We will be back next year with our kids.

We are two seniors who were honeymooning in Zion the first week of Nov. We'd liked the looks of the Canyon Vista online, and were not disappointed when we got there! The vibe of the place is immediately homelike and relaxing. The decor is an attractive blend of southwestern and arts and crafts---seeming to have been assembled with care to details, as one would do with his/her own home. Alan and his wife, the innkeepers, were most gracious and helpful. Alan is an experienced outdoorsman who was able to suggest the best hikes for us, and as a result we saw some corners of the park that were less frequented, though very lovely, such as the Taylor Creek area. We had wondered about the vouchered breakfast arrangement, but after our first meal at Oscar's, we returned happily every day of our stay. Upon a bit of thought, this system makes sense; you're only a couple of minutes from the restaurant, and you can choose from a wider range of menu options than you could with breakfast on site.

All in all, we'd absolutely return to the Canyon Vista and would highly recommend it to others.

Always somewhat skeptical of booking a B&B because you never know how "chatty" the owners and/or other guests will be, Canyon Vista was a great balance. Helpful and considerate, the personnel was available but not hovering. We really liked the breakfast voucher option and the flexibility that afforded and the choice of restaurants was perfect. Location to the park and town is fine. We would definitely recommend Canyon Vista when seeing Zion National Park.
