We stayed here for one night as part of our tour of West USA. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The scenery was beautiful and the rooms in a lovely location.

We arrived around 5 pm on a glorious day. The receptionist (I assume she was the owner) was exceptionally friendly and told us everything we needed to know, plus recommendations where to eat (we ate evening meal and breakfast in the Pioneer Restaurant just down the road - was lovely both times).

Room was adequate for our stay, rooms are set in blocks of 4 - ours was the end room so had one window at the front and one at the side. As a result we did have a view of the cliffs in the distance. I guess compared to some of the chain hotels we had stayed in on our trip, the room was a little more basic but even so was perfectly adequate and in a location to die for. No coffee maker as I remember or ironing board but there was a hairdryer. Was also very quiet.

The pool was closed as it had problems apparently but the spa pool was which we made use of after a long drive - bliss!

There is a shuttle stop on request right outside and there are many restaurants in walking distance.

I would highly recommend this motel if you are staying in the area. Has a good 'family feel' to it.

“Pleasant Stay”

When we checked in, the owner was friendly and very chatty (about all sorts of nutty crunchy stuff - not too surprising since the whole town of Springdale is kind of nutty crunchy). He showed us some menus from local restaurants and made a couple of recommendations for dinner and breakfast based on the fact that we're vegetarians.

A group was barbecuing on the lawn in the middle of the property when we arrived (rooms are on the outside of a horseshoe shaped drive). There was nice landscaping. The pool wasn't open yet (too early - too cold) but the outdoor hot tub was (we didn't use it).

We stayed in Room 2 with two double beds (that was all that was available when I made the reservation). There was an information binder (local attractions & restaurants) in the room, which I always consider a plus. There were quite a few cable channels, but no weather channel, which I considered a definite minus. The sheets were patterned - a homey change from the usual institutional white. The bathroom was large and there was no fan but there was a window (with frosted covering). There was a blow dryer and the usual toiletries, plus a "facial cleansing towelette." My husband commented that the shower head was "sad" but I thought it was OK, although the tub drain seemed to be a little clogged.

All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we would stay there again.

Our family had a great 2 night stay at the Canyon Ranch motel. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and our room was above average in size. The shuttle bus stop for Zion Park is right outside the door. There is a great coffee shop across the street, adjacent to the Desert Pearl. This a great place to stay for a reasonable rate.

Absolutely love the Canyon Ranch. Owners are very friendly, rooms are clean, common area outside is lovely, with bar b que pitts, swings, chairs, etc.
Within walking distance of downtown, and also within walking distance of the park.
They have several different room types, and we always try to get one with a kitchen so we can cook our meals instead of eating out every day.

Always a joy to stay here.

“Wonderful place. Better than the Marriott in Salt Lake City.”

This is the best motel in Springdale for family oriented folks. They have a nice grassy area right outside your room with picnic tables so you can have lunch right there. We stayed in the Marriott Downtown Salt Lake City the previous night and must say Rm 21 was nicer than the Marriott. It is within walking distance of the downtown with shops and resturants so you don't need to even get in your car.
