“Ideal base for visiting Zion Park. Great value motel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

Return visit to this friendly motel with its views of the mountains on both sides for both sunrise and sunset. 20 individual cabins have a range of facilities from full kitchen to just a fridge. Despite being right next to the road, and conveniently close to the free bus to Zion Visitor centre, our cabins were quiet and very spacious. Pool was out of action, but nice area to sit and relax. Central grass area is great for socialising and space to play. Reception lodge provides coffee when it is open. Easy to walk to local restaurants and shops.

We were pleasantly surprised. The location of the motel was perfect, surrounded by the canyon walls. The grounds in the motel were great with swings, picnic tablez and lots of green. A deer wandered in one evening to chomp on the grass. The rooms were in fact little cabins and very nice indeed. To top it all, the folks running the place were real friendly and helpful. A really neat find!

We've stayed at the Canyon Ranch 3 times now and it never disappoints. The latest stay was Jun 30 - Jul 2nd 2012 for $119/nt - the first nights of a 3 week road trip. Room 13 was clean and spacious with a flat screen TV and a good wifi signal. Small fridge did the job. The bathroom is a bit dated but functional. The grounds are terrific for little kids with a nice pool/spa and a huge green belt running through the middle of the property. We saw several deer on the property which made the kids happy. Directly across the street is the stop for the shuttle which takes you to the entrance of Zion - very convenient. The return lets off directly in front of the Motel. Walking distance to Blondies (decent burgers) and Pizza & Noodle Company (great beer!). Will definitely stay here again next time we come to Zion and recommend to family and friends.

We stayed one night at the Canyon Ranch Motel and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are basic, but clean. The view is fantastic, and the lawn provides a nice setting. The innkeepers were pretty nice and gave us good recommendations for dinner and breakfast. We didn't really spend much time there, but we did enjoy our stay. The price (in mid-May) was a bit high for what you get, though I think Springdale is kind of pricey anyway, but I would recommend this hotel.

For over ten years we have made the Canyon Ranch Motel are home while visitng the Zion National Park area. My wife and I own a small tour company, American Photo Tours, and use this incomparable, shady and very quiet motel for both family visits and for our Zion/Bryce/Capitol Reef tour in Utah. We stayed in several other motels in Springdale many years ago until we discovered Canyon Ranch, but nothing compares to the beautiful green grassy area in front of each of the rooms, the wonderful and relaxing quiet swimming pool and the excellent care of every room. Because the two and three unit buidlings are built of block they are quiet and very attractive, as the property is constantly being upgraded and wonderfully cared for. For families, singles and business visits, this is the best and most economically priced accomodation in the Zion Canyon Area. Congratulations!

Room Tip: Bring your bar-b-que and picnic supplies and enjoy the tables and cooking facilities under the beaut...

I would stay here again in a heartbeat! This little motel is a bit older but extremely well taken care of. Rooms were very clean and updated. Bath product amenities were very nice and having a small frig in the room was such a treat. Unfortunately, the swimming pool and spa were closed for maintenance.

The motel is also just across the street from the free shuttle stop going to Zion Park.

Room Tip: We were at the back of the complex so we did not have any traffic noise to contend with. Also, our...
