“Great Location - close to Zion and Springdale shops and restaurants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2009

I was a bit skeptical at first about staying here, since the reviews have been mixed and there had not been any reviews since Deceber 2008. But we booked a room anyway, since we only planned to stay for one night. The hotel was better than we expected. One thing to keep in mind about the place is that the front desk is only open from 8 am to 8 pm. We arrived before 8 pm, although there is a different check in process if you arrive after 8 pm. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a room with a mountain view. The room was clean and had good internet access. The building (Building A) we were in had interior corridors. The RV park/campground does take up much of the grounds and we thought it somewhat detracted from the ambiance of the place. The hotel is very close to the entrance of Zion National Park and is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Springdale. The hotel offered both hot and cold items for breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, etc). While we were there, the breakfast started at 7 am, but the times may vary seasonally. The building we were in did not have an ice machine but the front desk was able to fill our cooler with ice.

We chose this inn on our cross-country trip because it was most convenient to Mt. Zion. The small building had no elevator, but we were happy to see a fridge and microwave. There was a large counter in the bathroom and a nice mountain view.

It was a short walk to the free shuttle that took us to Mt. Zion. We did one trail too many and were exhausted when we got back, so we didn't get to explore the local restaurants. My husband picked up an overpriced pizza and we ate in.

This park also provided RV campsites. It was comfortable and in a good location.

I was kinda worried when I had read one of the reviews on here about roaches in the rooms etc. but it turned out to be a really, nice and clean little hotel. I had forgotten it was Labor Day weekend and was lucky to get the last room available! The hot breakfasts included with the rooms were a plus! The manager running the breakfast room was very very cool! The hotel is very close to the shuttle stop, campgrounds etc. Loved the little on site market and the desk clerks were friendly ;) I would totally come back again.
Thanks for really nice experience and no little 'friends' in the rooms hehe.

We found this hotel to be quiet, clean, with attractive decor, and an excellent location. Attached grocery was a plus, and the free, HOT breakfast was outstanding! We had scrambled eggs every day with sausage or bacon, waffles, french toast, biscuits & gravy toast, etc. Our compliments to the chef!

Stayed here September 2008 and was completely satisfied. Even though it's outside the Zion Park boundaries, the views are simply gorgeous. A short walk behind the motel is the Virgin River itself. The staff were very courteous and the place was kept clean, but I think the motel's greatest asset or amenity is the delicious breakfast. Waffles were cooked to order to go along with other "real breakfast" foods. Springdale itself is a charming little community which offers complimentary shuttle bus service into Zion NP. While it may cost a bit extra to be at Zion's front door, it's worth it not to have to drive any further for accommodations.

  • Liked — location right outside Zion National Park
  • Disliked — marquee small, motel hidden from view

Went to Zion Nat'l Park over the labor day weekend as part of a HOG chapter ride . This inn was about a 1/4 of a mile from the park entrance. Service to the park and town via the free shuttle was approximately 100 feet from the front entrance of the inn. Rooms were neat and clean. Breakfast was better than most Quality inn breakfasts. The Inn has an RV park right behind it, but there were absolutley no disturbances from the RV park or it's patrons. Inn also has a small store which pretty much caters to the needs of the campers but you can find things that you need and might want at the store. without going into town.

  • Liked — Convenience to park and town
  • Disliked — Parking close to your room may be a little difficult

This accomodation was booked for us by a AAA agent in Las Vegas, Nevada. My husband and I were driving from Las Vegas to Zion National Park and the AAA agent advised us to find a place to stay overnight close by. We were in the area on Labor Day week end, without a reservation so we really did not have lots of choices. This hotel was available, advertised the amenities we requested, so we booked. Upon arrival at 9:00 pm, the front desk was closing up for the evening. We were able to check into our room before the desk clerk left. After getting into our room, we learned there was no ice available; the internet service advertised was not available. The room was adequate and was clean. Early the next morning, the breakfast was just okay, certainly nothing to brag about. It took my husband three trips to the front desk before he was sucessfully connected to the internet. Upon further exploration of the hotel grounds, we learned that this hotel really caters more to hikers, RVer's, than to regular land visitors. The shuttle service to Zion Park is just right next to this hotel and they were kind enough to let us leave our car here for most of the next day, without charge.

If you are planning a trip to Zion National Park, I would recommend that you book a room in the Park. Most National Parks are full of history and while not very luxurious, they are normally clean and provide basic necessities.
