“An experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Convenient to the Mist Trail for an early hike up to Vernal Fall, Nevada or Half Dome and close to restaurants, the Happy Isle Visitor Center and programs. A great central location for families.

If you are a light sleeper I would not expect a good nights sleep but a few noisy nights are worth the experience of staying in this historic camp. Tents are very close together and there are a lot of tents and people. We found that people were friendly and considerate, most just didn't realize how sound carries when you are few feet apart and separated by just a fabric tent. Bring your ear plugs and be bear safe by storing all your food, water and personal items like toothpaste in the provided bear safe storage bins.

“A great way to start the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Cafeteria food is what it is but the restautant at Curry Village delivers fresh tasting food well presented in a pleasant and clean dining room setting. The coffee bar is situated as you come in the door so you can be on your way in a few minutes. If you prefer the buffet and seated dining, theres plenty of room to mingle or enjoy your privacy. This place was worth reviewing because nowadays there are too many high priced places with questionable hygiene and sub-standard food. When travelling in the summer months, food borne illness is always a concern for people on holiday. Bottom line- the food is good and the place is clean.

“Dependable and comfy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014

This is basically a cafeteria with solid, simple hot food choices. It's convenient if you are staying in Curry Village, and the service was exceptionally friendly. The prices were a bit high, but the food is abundant and fresh. The real star was the Peet's coffee.

“Prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

Average at best. The amount was huge though. We had a pulled pork sandwich on artisan bread, a huge scooping of dried out carrots and another of dried out potatoes. You needed a drink between bites of veggies to wash them down they were so dry. It also came with a roll. All for a cheap $15.75! Wow! The salad bar was much better price wise. We loaded up our plates the next day overflowing and paid between 10 and $12. You pay by ounce. The dining room was nice. Hardly anyone around too. Very low crowds for beginning of June.

“breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

We felt prices were high and selection limited, but the convenience won out both days for breakfast.
