“Quaint, but a little pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

After hiking all day in the park, we were famished. Got there a little early. They don't open until 5pm but got right in with no reservations. By the time we left, the dining room had really filled up. Had the special pot roast that was out of this world! I am a real carnivore but actually had to leave a few bites! Spouse love the steak special. Salads extra. Personable wait staff. Quaint old place that was great to experience with a meal. Saw a family eating here and wondered how they could afford to feed them all at these prices however. It 's a long way to other food options.

“A most wonderful view with decent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We arrived the day after the Gov't shutdown ended and the restaurant was open but not fully operational yet. Staff were very professional and friendly. We had soup and a sandwich which were reasonably priced and tasty. The restaurant overlooks the National Park and is beautiful. It's worth the stop.

“Bad place for lunch”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

The place looks wonderful. It should be wonderful. But the restaurant - oh dear. Poor onion soup (tasteless and probably microwaved). And then a w--a--i--t for the sandwich. 40 mins, and asking 3 times. And it wasn't even a cooked sandwich. Other people had arrived, been served, and left. And it wasn't busy, although the waiter claimed to be 'slammed'.

“Surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

We have eaten at a lot of lodges in National Parks and most are not that great. Wawona was a different story. We were surprised how fresh and good our lunch was. I had the turkey club with avocado. It was wonderful. Would eat there again if in the park.

“Last lunch in Yosemite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Nice, historic dining room near the Mariposa Grove. We were there for a late lunch after Glacier Point. Good griller turkey burger for me and red snapper for my husband. Service was excellent and fast!
