“Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We had lunch outside at The Ahwahnee Hotel. The food was a little pricey but very good. The atmosphere and the views are outstanding. No trip to Yosemite is complete without visiting the hotel.

“Beautiful but pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Wow, was this restaurant expensive. Unless you dont mind spending over $125 for a dinner for two, don't even think about going. I'm glad I had the experience, but that will probably be my one and only visit. Maybe lunch is more reasonable.

“Great spot, spotty food, CA service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Very expensive, so could we maybe have the integrity to deliver consistent food quality? The special was OK both nights. Other menu item was poor on night one and inedible on night two. Wait staff have jobs for life and it shows, think post office. Maybe eat here one night for the history, bar food other wise?

“Fun experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

Stayed a few days in Yosemite this August & thought we would try Sunday brunch at The Ahwahnee before we left the park. A bit pricey, but huge choice of food and great ambient setting. The mini puds were a big hit with my daughters 16 & 12 as were the chocolate dipped strawberries. Staff were supremely attentive and I would highly recommend this experience, but you need to pre-book brunch.

“grand and beautiful, just like yosemite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

our family has been visiting Yosemite national park for decades. we always make a point to dine at the ahwahnee dining room.
first, I would recommend making reservations. we always have, and from what I hear they can be filled to capacity at times.
second, the food is not spectacular, and the meals seem a bit pricey. but if you have been camping for several days, dining indoors with hot prepared food is a treat.
third, what makes the whole experience is the beauty and grandeur of the dining hall. it was built in 1926, opened in 1927, and has a long history. the windows and lighting are nice. we always try to go early in the evening so we can see the scenery as we dine before the sun sets.
