The hotel is clean, rustically appointed and situated perfectly to all Yosemite has to offer. We travelled with a group of photographers. We made it to every sunrise and sunset easily from our rooms. We will be back again and again!

We have come here as a couple and with our extended family. In the spring, we have enjoyed the recreational and scenic areas available. In the winter, we like the different views of the familiar sights we have seen in the past.

Yosemite is awesome beautiful sights. The Ahwanee Dining Room is very special. The Ahwanee staff is very experienced. I am recovering from a strained Achilles tendon. The Park Rangers were very helpful.

Obviously staying on the Yosemite Valley Floor makes it really convenient to do the hikes and see the waterfalls. Yosemite Lodge has a fabulous location - once out on our patio, we could look up and see the Upper Yosemite Falls. There's even a better view from the hotel restaurant.

This property is conveniently located on a shuttle stop. The bike rental station is there too. In addition to the nice restaurant, there's a casual lounge with bar plus a cafeteria-like eatery.

Our room was quite dim even though we had every light turned on. The brightest lights were over the sink and in the toilet/bath/shower area. The lights in the room had dim bulbs. Good thing we spent a whole lot more time outside than inside!

And, yes, everyone is right about the WiFi. Terrible. Don't plan on relying on it.

Front desk check in/check out service was competent, but could've smiled. Our only other experience with the front desk was with our room safe. It was missing its key. When we informed the front desk, we were told that it could not be fixed but they could store our valuables at the front desk. We declined.

This property met our needs for our two-night, three-day trip over February winter break. We were there Mon through Wed. It was busy but not crowded. We really got lucky with the Spring weather during February. I'd stay here again - Curry Village may be too rustic for me, and the Ahwahnee a tad too pricey.

Excellent view from the balcony. Heating worked wonderfully well and we were very cosy inside our room. Convenient for getting around the valley and walking to the Falls. Food court is very close and has a great selection of food choices.

Room Tip: Back side rooms face the meadow and are very quiet.

Every summer we travel West to camp in Yosemite with family. We have younger ones with us that enjoy exploring the Park and hike and photograph as much as we can that Muir and Adams did with camera and pen so long ago. We always enjoy this beautiful place. This winter someone suggested taking some winter photos in Yosemite. I flew to Sacramento with camera gear and booked lodging at Yosemite Lodge. Because California has had a drought spell, the snow and snow melt made the water volume lower than I had expected. The visit still produced some great off season photographs that were worth the effort. The warm and clean accomodations allowed rising early for sunrise and late sunset photos. I was pleasantly surprised. I will repeat this trip a few more times this year and report back my expected good results.

I'd recommend staying here. The Yosmiite Lodge has clean and nice rooms, good amendities, very friendly staff offering great service, delicious food. We rented bikes to ride around the valley and really enjoyed the wonderful scenery.
