“Great in-park option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We enjoyed a stay at Yosemite Lodge for several days on a California roadtrip.

Compared to the Ahwahnee Hotel nearby, Yosemite Lodge was great value for in-park lodging and fulfilled our needs. We were 3 adults and stayed in the Bunk room which had a Queen bed plus a Double/Single bunk bed. It was plenty of room for the 3 of us and included a balcony overlooking the Meadows, which we particularly enjoyed. Rooms on the other side of the building might have had a view of the Falls (but only maybe), but they also overlooked the carpark area. We were very happy with our view and the room.

Breakfast options are extremely limited, only available at the FoodCourt. Pastries were stale and hot food was mostly pre-prepared and kept warm. We ordered fried eggs and those were fresh, but the hash browns were inedible. Coffee from the urns was some of the worst I’ve ever tasted, though I’m not particularly fond of urn coffee at the best of times. Espresso coffee was only available until 11am, so I had to settle.

Dinner on the other hand was delicious, eaten at the Mountain Room restaurant both nights. Of course, it was more expensive than the FoodCourt, but it was money well-spent for us.

Room Tip: We stayed in Hemlock building overlooking the meadow. Great view, quiet and private.

Nice to be located in the center of the Valley, you can walk and bus everywhere! Clean room. The cost of the rooms are fine if you fill the room. But over-priced for just 2 people! It can be noisy since you can hear the people in the next room.

Room Tip: If you walk in, try to bargin and get the price down.

There is a wide range of places to stay in Yosemite and this is a very comfortable, conveniently located "middle" place. The location is closet to decent food, shops, the visitors center, and transportation. Parking is easy. The accommodations are comfortable but showing some aging. Prices are reasonable for a National Park. The dining near by is expensive but good quality and variety. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Reserve as far in advance as possible!

Always clean, well priced. Yosemite buses, bike rentals and pool close by. Our first choice when staying in the valley. Food choices decent, plenty of variety. Gift shop has a great selection of gifts.

Just returned from Yosemite Lodge. We've stayed there before and it is always great value for your money. The rooms are generous and always clean, plus you can't beat the setting. We eat breakfast and lunch at the Awahnee Hotel, hike around the valley and curl up with a good book at Yosemite Lodge.

Clean and big rooms with all the facilities you can need.
Awesome location, just 5 minutes walking from the lower Yosemite falls.
Different options to eat in the Lodge. I would recommend it to groups, couples, individual or familys.

Our room was a bit small for the four of us, but more than adequate. We loved the walk up to the main lodge and saw numerous deer on the way too and from the restaurant. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. The stars were out one night and you could reach out and touch them. The staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean.
