“Don't even think about it”

No need to write more about it, don't stay in this hotel, although location is good, you will catch a diease. Every where is filthy, broken, smelly. I'm a world traveler and I never stay a hotel like this.

Accomodations are nice and close to shuttles, restaurants, and best of all the falls. Some rooms can view falls and trails are right nearby.
We heard supposedly, you can book months in advance, but cancel within 2 weeks with full refund. So , rooms freed up around 2 weeks prior to stay.

We went here with low expectations based on prior reviews, and were actually really happy with our stay. We had booked a 2 queen room, but being a little tired of sharing beds I inquired if one of the bunk bed rooms might be open. Erica at the desk was very nice to check and since there were none of those she offered us a Family Room for $20 less than what we had booked! Sweet! Some might have been disappointed with the room but we thought it was awesome. It must have at some point been a dorm room of some type because it was HUGE, had 6 individual closets along one wall, a dining table that seated 6, a King bed, 2 single beds and a sleeper sofa. The bathroom had the shower separate from the toilet area and the two sinks were in the main room. Also a fridge and microwave. Yes, the furniture was old but the beds were comfy and the entire room was clean. Kind of anti-luxury, but we were happy to trade that for the space and the awesome location. We walked to the falls that evening and again the next day. You absolutely cannot beat the location. We rode the bus around to see the valley sights. The huge pool looked great but as we were there only one night, we did not get to try it. We ate in the food court for dinner & breakfast and it was good, but expensive, both times. Expected that from prior national park visits. Overall, we enjoyed our night here and wished we would have come here from Mariposa one night sooner.

The rooms are perhaps nothing to write home about, but there's nothing wrong with them either and our stay was comfortable enough. The most awesome thing is that you can hear the falls from your bed at night after traffic has died down - it sounds like the ocean, almost! :)

As a hotel this is fairly average in terms of comfort and facilities, however you cannot escape the fact that it is in the perfect location for Yosemite valley and it takes significant time to drive into the valley from accommodation outside the park (the speed limits are very low and people generally stick to them)

The room itself was fairly basic although clean and acceptable. The view was of trees although be aware some back onto the main road out of the park so there can be some noise

Be prepared for high prices for food and drink - captive audience. The bar is pleasant and the restaurant fine. Breakfast was mad being a cooked to order self service which took forever, however again captive audience

Having said all of that location perfect, biking around the park was fabulous, if you are looking a Yosemite valley and don't want to camp not a bad choice

I wasn't expecting luxury. But, I wasn't expecting such poorly maintained rooms either. Bath had been remodeled fairly recently, tub and commode were new and clean. Carpet in room is pathetic. Might better use a wood-product, as it is hard to keep clean I'm sure. But, the room is musty smelling. They warn you that the rooms are small. The cafeteria is substandard. Our food was lukewarm at best, but very expensive. Try to stay outside and bring in food for the day. The Grand Tour Bus trip was well worth the money. The guide was great, and it covers all the highlights and (High spots) of the park.

My family of 5: myself, husband and 3 sons (5 years, 3 years and 9 months) stayed in a Family Bunk Room from May 28-May 31. My understanding is all of this type of room is in the Hemlock Building. I was told by the reservations people that the Family Bunk Room is a new room configuration for the Lodge beginning sometime earlier this year so the furniture is all new. It also looked like it was freshly painted with new light fixtures and pictures. However, the flooring, bathroom sink, bathtub/shower were definitely not new and a bit worn out but were clean. The room also had a flat screen tv (which went unused by us) and a mini refrigerator which we were really happy to have to keep food costs down. Our older boys LOVED the bunk beds since they don't have one at home. My 9 month old slept in a pack and play that we brought. There was plenty of space in the room to fit a pack and play. When we arrived we had our choice of the first or second floor. We went with the second as we knew our boys would love the balcony and they did. We were on the back side of the building and had a spectacular view of Sentinel Rock and the Merced. We had a bit of an ant problem (not huge but enough to be a little annoying) however if there is one "bug" that doesn't cause me complete despair it is the ant so we just smooshed the few we found and went about our business. Everyone at the Lodge was friendly and helpful. We only ate at the food court once and found it to be more than adequate with friendly workers and more than enough seating. Happy for the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. As for the parking, we had no problem finding a spot when we arrived about 4 pm on a Tuesday. We didn't move our car until we checked out 4 days later. We LOVED the Lodge and will definitely be back. We would recommend it highly. We stayed in a Signature Tent at Curry Village last year and this was definitely more enjoyable for me. Having your own bathroom and shower goes a long way with this girl. :)
