“Great lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

We had lunch here in June 2011. In my husband's and my opinions, the best food in the park. My husband enjoyed the Coconut-Crusted Chicken Tenders. I had the Smoked Wild Alaska Salmon Club. The food was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. We'd definitely go back!

“Best place to eat dinner in the park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2011

We had dinner here the week of 7/11/11, while visiting the Mammoth Hot Springs area. We were very happy with the service, food (bison tacos and spinach salad with warm goat cheese and pine nuts) and ambiance. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

“Good food for dinner and breakfast & A lovely view of Elk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2011

We arrived around 6.30 pm for dinner. We had a choice. We could have a table in the middle of the restaurant or had to wait for 5 minutes for a window table. We wanted the window table, so we decided to wait.
The window table was great. we had a lovely view of the Elk. The were very playful and some were laying on the grass.
The food was very good. For starters we had soup, which was followed by a burger with a pickle and fries. Very good!

The next morning we came back for breakfast. Again with a great view of the Elk.
Breakfast was good too. You can choose for the buffet or something from the menu. We had something from the menu. I had fried eggs with a sausage and toast and my husband had scrambled eggs with ham and toast. It was very good and sufficiant.

“Copy of the Old Faithful Inn dining room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2011

The menu is completely the same as at the Old Faithful Inn (both hotels are runned by xanterra, which sais everything). The food was good and as we expected. Unfortunately, the staff seems to be completely overstrained with a full restaurant. We had to wait for everything. Everyone around us was complaining about the service. To be fair, I think it was just our waitress which was that slow, the other people seemed to be happy. If you want to have dinner in the Mammoth area this is the best place you can get.

“Good Atmosphere, ehhh food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2010

Although the location is beautiful with a lovely view of the grazing elk, and the service was great, I found the fare to be blah. Overpriced and undercooked aren't a great combination, but I suppose it does beat the cafeteria next door. Regardless, if you want the atmosphere, not the food, then eat at Mammoth Dining Room
