The Pork Osso Buco was just as good as the time I had it in 2003, which is to say “to die for” Really outstanding, in my opinion. Sometime after dinner when it was close to closing and getting slow I asked to speak to the manager to complement everybody involved. He came rushing out, appearing to be expecting the worst, another complaint, and didn't have a clue as to how to react when I told him how good it was and what a pleasure to dine there, especially after Glacier's mediocrity. He finally asked who the server was, but he was like a deer in the headlights the whole time, just confused about the whole thing. Doesn't anyone ever ask for the manager to complement things?
And that's the food that's great. Now we move on to the dining room itself. Old Faithful Inn. That's as good as it gets, at least for me. Stunning building, and IMO the poorer seats are the better ones. The window tables near the outside are great, but closer in you have more of a view of the massive log cabin Old Faithful Inn is. And it is stunning. They are getting the food out so quick it's almost too quick now. I guess trying to keep up with demand and or make money, and they don't rush you from the table, but you do get dinner minutes from the time you order it.
