“If your time is limited, I would skip this one.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The trailhead to wraith falls is only a couple miles west of the mammoth area on the right side of the road if going westbound. The parking lot is small but hardly ever full. The trail marker is by the parking lot and the trail itself is only a half mile long to the falls viewing platform.
There is some mild elevation gain on the trail and at the end a staircase with about 30 stairs. The falls fall over a smooth rock and can flow in different directions depending on the wind. This is one of the lesser waterfalls here in the park not much of a flow and not much to see sorry for the buzz kill but if your time is limited, you can find more interesting things to see and do. If your in the area and want to stretch your legs go for it. This was my least favorite waterfall in the park.

“We loved this little hike!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

We did this walk in August. The scenery is gorgeous and there won't be a ton of people on the hike. The falls are interesting and nestled back in the woods. We had a mule deer walk up within 5 feet of us on the trail. It was an awesome experience. It takes 30 minutes and its worth taking a look...

“Cascading Falls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

An half mile walk up an easy trail to a viewing stand. The Falls actually flow down over rock and spreads out in different formations depending on the flow of the water, wind and recent rain. It is not a dramatic waterfall with thundering water pressure surging into a pool below, but is it charming none the less. I would not pass by on my way to Tower Falls or Mammoth Hot Springs. It is a delightful diversion. Most people (and children)should be able to complete the hike.

“Excellent Short hike!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

The hike up to Wraith Falls is only a half mile (one mile round trip) and it's an easy, flat hike up until the last little bit where it kind of zigzags up to the falls themselves, not much elevation gain. The hike itself is very pretty, some wild flowers, grass, and trees. The falls themselves are beautiful. When you reach the falls, there's a nice little platform and wood railing to stand and view the falls. It's also a great place to take pictures. It's definitely a lovely short hike, not to be missed.

“Great short walk!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

Do not miss this great short trail. It should be called Wraith Cascades since it cascades over a fairly smooth rock face. It is fun and definitely worth it!!!
