We dd the hike to the brink of the falls. It was a rather steep hike on switchbacks but my 6 year old grandson made the trip just fine. During the hike there are views of the upper falls and when you get to the brink you are standing on a platform next to the top of the falls. You get a nice birds eye view of the falls and a spectacular view of the canyon. Lookout view and Grand view offer spectacular views off the north rim drive, (with minimal hiking) or you can get great views from Uncle Tom's Trail or Artist point if you take the South Rim Drive.
