“America the Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Recently I did a 10 day camping trip to Yellowstone National Park. For anyone wanting to go take this advice to heart. Go to the campground of your choice first thing in the morning and select a camp site. Set up your tent and then go out and explore. Also, the best camp site in Yellowstone proper is Norris campground. It's located right on a small river winding through a meadow and it's an easy hike to the Norris geyser basin, which will require at least 2 full days to explore - and it's fantastic.

Yellowstone Lake was breath taking. 360 degree views, the kids (teens) enjoyed the time spent experiencing the natural beauty.

“Yellowstone-A nature lover's paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We visited in July and the weather was as beautiful as the scenery! Everywhere you look you'll find a view fit for a postcard--mountains, streams, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, valleys, geysers and wildflowers abound. The wildlife viewing was just as amazing. We saw buffalo, elk, deer, pronghorn, grizzlies, black bear, cinnamon bear, eagles, cranes, falcons, squirrels, mongoose, badger, lizards, cutthroat trout, and so much more. It was a wonderful trip with my senior citizen parents and my teenage sons. We loved every minute of it and would love to go back someday.

“Gorgeous lake with interesting geological details”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Yellowstone Lake is absolutely gorgeous, with very interesting geological details. Picnic on the perimeter, see steam vents and geysers nearby, and view the beautiful color of the water. The only downside was that forest fires have devastated areas near the lake that have not yet re-forested. We saw lots of fishermen as well, so it might be worth taking the fishing pole too.

I should warn visitors that in peak season, bathroom facilities are lacking in Yellowstone. The main visitor's centers have flush toilets. However, many of the other major tourist stops have vault toilets that simply could not accommodate the visitor load. They were awful. I hope that the construction we saw was working toward more sanitation services in the park.
