Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge was our first stop on a one week land tour after a one week cruise. We were sad to leave the ship but so pleased with this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When booking our cruise and landtour through Princess, we requested a handicap room for one of our family members. When we arrived at Copper River, who was sold out, they did not have a handicap room for us. However, the General Manager asked someone to switch rooms with us so we had the needed handicap room. In addition, she called ahead to Denali and Fairbanks Princess Lodges to make sure we had a handicap room waiting for us. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Rooms were very nice and clean. The lodge is only five years old, but is used only four months out of the year; so it feels brand new. The lobby is gorgeous with a view of the mountains and a large fireplace. Yes, you are out in the middle of no where, but there are plenty of things to do, hike, go to the Park Service's Visitor Center or book an adventure or tour through the front desk. We rented Rhico's one day and had a blast. This was our favorite Princess Lodge. You can simply relax with a good book or take some extreme adventure tour.
