On the second leg of our anniversary trip, we chose to stay in between Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. We wanted to ride our bicycles, visit some local artists, do some wine tasting, check out the Finger Lakes and hike some State Parks. We needed a hotel that allowed us to not just be a cycling -wine tasting-hiking-tourist, but to make it as romantic & fun as possible, and this Hampton Inn was just awesome at filling our needs. Manager Kelly Woodworth and assistant manager Siearah O'Brien along with the housekeeping supervisor & staff made our 4-day stay truly a romantic adventure! From Finger Lakes sparkling wine to rose petals on our bed to local gourmet treats to trail mix snacks while biking, this staff went way out of their way to make us feel welcomed and like we were on our honeymoon again! The rooms were clean, very comfortable and quiet, the exercise room was filled with the perfect equipment for us to do our morning workouts, the pool was warm & relaxing and the coffee was always hot and fresh in the lobby. They accommodated us by storing our bicycles for us every night and told us the best places to visit in the area. Their suggestions of eating at Wolfies on Cayuga Lake (Great food, views, service - get the steamed clams!), visiting the local State Parks & their wondrous waterfalls, hitting the local artists trail as well as the local cheese & wine trails (Swedish Hill Winery & the Lively Goat Run Cheese Farm are must visits) were all on the money. We were impressed by the manager & staff's local knowledge & outgoing spirit for the Finger Lakes region, thus we will definitely return to continue our exploration of this beautiful natural & quite romantic part of the country! Thanks Seneca Falls Hampton Inn for a glorious conclusion to our bicycling anniversary sojourn!
