“Not too bad...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Antonina's was recommended by out hotel front desk staff. We checked it out on Tripadvisor and decided to take a chance...

The atmosphere was that of a spiffed-up Pizza Hut, but with a friendlier staff and a somewhat nicer decor. For dinner my wife and I split an entree and shared a dessert. We both enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine from a limited, but good wine list.

Antonina's has good selection of "standard" Italian food. We went with something simple and straight forward, Rigatoni with Meat Sauce and a Caesar Salad. The servings were generous and tasty. (The Caesar and the pasta both could use more real parmigiano..!) The Tiramiso was okay, but next time I'll try something different.

Service was as prompt and professional as one could ask for in a family style Italian restaurant. Our waitress Summer was well informed and helpful. She added some personality to a nice evening.

Antonina's unfortunately has two (or three) wide-screen TV's going simultaneously, with the volume level set so that it maskst the background music. Summer accommodated our request to turn down the closest TV. We didn't ask her why restaurants need to have TV's..... (??)

All in all, we'd go there again, but we will check out some of the other Seneca Falls restaurants in the interim.

The stacked roast beef sandwich on Wednesday for lunch is great. Note, they do not take credit cards.

“Cozy Italian Joint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

This place transformed into Martini's the weekend of the It's a Wonderful Life festival. Love the cozy little bar, which we shared a drink at before dining. Typical Italian/American menu. Good food & terrific prices. Service was also good.

“A "Local's Place" no glitz--good food-good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

My husband and I are regulars at Antonina's...an Italian Restaurant that does the count-down to St Patrick's Day and then has a super party! They don't have a huge menu but there's sufficient variety (sandwiches, salads, pastas, meat and fish). Everything is good and made on site. Definitely not haute cuisine but tasty and not pricey. Frequently there are specials of the evening which will be a bit more elaborate. They also do take-out. They have three or so draught beers, a reasonable selection of bottled beer and only a few wines, all served by the glass. There's a big dining room with a smallish separate bar area and a few more tables there, which we find not only cozier but more interesting as the bar conversation often involves local events. Service is always friendly and efficient; more often than not the owner is also there. They serve lunch during the week until 2pm and then start dinner at 5-ish. Closed Sunday and Monday. Important to note, they do not take credit cards or checks. Definitely a good place for travelers who are tired of cookie-cutter chain restaurants looking for a satisfying meal.
