“Good for a special occasion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

This place is a surprise. Looks like nothing from the outside, then you walk in and there's a fancy french restaurant. Everything was delicious. Service was impeccable. But the bill was huge. Watch out for the specials because they are priced way above the menu items. Nice place for a special occasion though.

“Good food, great service, moderate price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

First we were greeted with a warm handshake for all, then our waiter explained the specials and gave us plenty of time to chat and decide. We all had the branzini special. It was delicious. They even gave us a special treat of Sambuco afterwards.

“Restaurant TopNotch, & Irish Coffee is Creme de la Creme”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

My husband & I just returned this evening (7/20/13) from a wonderful dinner from greeting to end. Maddie (sp?) was our principal waiter. While the dinner was excellent (I had the combination seafood platter & my husband had the whole fish special with bruschetta as appetizer (best bruschetta ever), we experienced a memorable Irish Coffee experience that we have searched for that is comparable to an Irish Coffee experience when we were in Barceleona, Spain. This restaurant surpasses previous Irish Coffee experiences in terms of presentation and taste. We have visited this restaurant on the average of 3 times/year and while an excellent overall restaurant, we always must have the Irish Coffee, served table side with a dramatic flourish. This is obviously a special occasional restaurant but we go (reservations a must due to its size) if only to celebrate the weekend. Be aware that when desserts are described the waitstaff may not mention the table side desserts available (Irish Coffee, Cherries Jubilee & Crepe Suzettes)

“Very good and Will Return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Four of us dined here for the first time. Service was friendly, efficient and we were seated immediately for our 630 Saturday evening reservation. Two of us had the lasagna, one had the veal, and the other the risotto, all very good. They had many specials and when we return we should try those as they sounded interesting.

“Wonderful meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Mrs J and I went to this restaurant based on previous experiences with other family members and on TA recs.
We were not disappointed!
From the moment you get there the owner and staff treat you like family and honored guests.
We were ushered to a great table and the owner sat down and went over the menu. After listening to our preferences , he made recommendations that were excellent.
We had crepes with crab meat in a tasty sauce for appetizers and it was heavenly.
I had red snapper with scallops and my wife had a steak she said was heavenly.
And of course since we were counting calories, we had the Bananas Foster which in a blaze of glory was prepared in front of us and was delicious.
Oh, I had proseccos and my wife had an excellent margarita .
If you are going to Wolf Trap or happen to be in Vienna stop by and reward yourself.
Its quiet and romantic and you go away pampered and satisfied.
