“Run of the mill fare--meh!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Anita's started out in Vienna in a tiny facility across from where Magruder's used to be, a location now housing the Maple Ave. restaurant. There it was pretty authentic and folksy. In its newer location at the north end of Vienna it has become much more humdrum and commercial. The food is OK, but just OK. The service can be spotty. On the other hand, it is an ideal place to hang out for a leisurely breakfast with an old friend or associate when you are looking for an unhurried visit over reasonably priced and wholesome food. Just don't expect authentic home-cooked southwestern Mexican-style cuisine. And, if your tastes are not epicurean, you'll be more than satisfied with Anita's.

“Gem: speedy takeaway cheap breakfast burritos”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

Locals: enter side door, place orders for breakfast burritos (ranging inexpensively in price from $1.49-$2.99), and are walking back out the door with these hearty treats in about three minutes. Tourists: enter through front door for sit-down meals, and leave an hour later still a bit hungry but with their wallets certainly lightened. Get it?

“Good food, prices aren't bad, I like breakfast here because it is something different.”

I have been coming here for years- good food, great service. I really like breakfast here though because it is different.

“Good food but the service is lacking”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012

We ate at Anitas and liked the food but found the service to be a bit iffy. There were no substitutions allowed. One person wanted a chicken and a cheese enchilada. She was told she had to pick either chicken or cheese. They also charged for anything extra such as salsa, water, and chili. I'd eat here again if that is all that was available but they need to work on their customer service. The chips and salsa that was served tasted like it was out of a bag and jar. I had the fajita burrito with green chili and I must admit that it was very good.

Lastly, I'm not sure if the AC wasn't turned on because of the power issues but this place was so hot and humid that it made eating uncomfortable.
