“Very good selection of vegetarian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2015 NEW

We are all Gluten free in our family & the owner has taken this challenge very seriously. They keep their GF preparation section separated since they made this change. The proteins are limited to tofu but they had revamped part of their menu to include GF items. We love the Bamboo Fungus soup, Wakame Soup, Cold Basil Roll, Root Vegetables platter. They have GF soy sauce. All of their food is excellent. The place is exceptionally clean & very cheerful with it's Sunflower theme. The staff can't do enough to please you & assist you in whatever you need. They are sensitive to vegans, too. There is plenty of parking. We eat here about once a week because we've never had a gluten issue(feeling bad) after eating here.

“No Meat? Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2015

Hard to believe the meals we ate were not made from meat.
This is a little cafe sized restaurant just inside Vienna. They were busy on a weekday afternoon for lunch, but service was quick. The staff were also very pleasant even though busy.
The lunch portions were filling enough for two adults, but we opted to finish separate meals. We had steamed dumplings, General Tso's Surprise and Sweet and Sour Sensation and enjoyed our selections even more than their meat counterparts. As I scanned the room I noticed everyone enjoying their meals and all the food looked very appetizing; from sandwiches to dessert.
We are looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.

“Great Vegetarian Restaurant & Gluten Free Friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2015

The food is extremely fresh & varied, The owners are very committed to providing safe Gluten Free food. They have a separate menu for Gluten free & have a separate prep cooking area so that the food doesn't get contaminated. There are good selections.

On the REGULAR MENU our 3 favorites -1. General Tso’s Surprise chunks of soy protein in hot kong-pao sauce, garnished with steamed broccoli & carrots & 2. As-You-Wish Garden Layers of gently pan fried noodles, topped with fresh mushrooms, snow peas, carrots and soy protein in a basil & ginger sauce. 3. Veg ‘Shrimp’ The ‘shrimp ‘ is made with soy protein & yam (get the General Tso's sauce)(Choice of: General Tso’s Sauce, Lemon Sauce, Sweet&Sour Sauce.) The Miso Soup with Fresh mushrooms, daikon & organic tofu really tastes like miso soup. (We are not vegetarians & eat fish based miso.) All of their sauces are really flavorful & there is a huge variety of dishes including big bowl soups with noodles. Their desserts are really good

All of the soups on the GF menu or regular menu are terrific. The cold basil roll is really crunchy & tasty filled with matchsticks of veggies. They have GF soy sauce if you need it. The sauces are very flavorful & their veggies are always fresh & cooked perfectly. I find that in general this food is not greasy or overly spiced which allows the flavors of the vegetables to shine through.

This is a very cheery place with a great service. Beware this is a smaller restaurant so it's best to go at slightly less crowded times.

The drink selection is very good Fresh Squeezed Carrot Juice, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice, Organic Hot Tea, Green Tea Green Tea w. Toasted Brown Rice Jasmine Green Tea, Bancha Tea (toasted green tea) Kukicha (twig tea) plus other types of beverages like almond milk.

And the desserts are really good although they don't have any GF ones yet. Fruit Tart (Vegan/Gluten Free) Fresh seasonal fruit,Creamy Tofu,Blueberry sauce, Organic Lemon Tofu “Cheese” Pie Tahina, pine nuts & cashews, Organic Pumpkin Tofu Pie
Organic Almond & Blueberry Jelly Pie.

We eat here probably about 3-4 times a month ( Vienna location is our favorite) even though we are not vegetarians. In the last year we tested positive for Gluten intolerance & this is one of the few places I can eat with confidence that I won't have any ill effects. IF you look at their kitchen-- it's very clean, as is the restaurant area & bathrooms. We've been coming here for about 15 years.

“A veggie lover's little hole of a dream”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2015

A busy little tuck-away in Vienna close to post office. Service is spot on, right there, courteous and fast. Their menu is pretty extensive given that they offer vegan, vegetarian and pro-biotic selections. My friend had one of their trademark salads, I had a noodle combo bowl very Thai in taste, but lots of good herbs and broth. Both were good, and the portions are huge. Lunch was busy on a Saturday and their little tables make for a cozy atmosphere. Overall, a good economical choice!
