“Best Italian food for the price in Vienna!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

We had a nice selection of appetizers, pizza, and an entree when we had dinner at Pazzo Pomodoro. The portions were fairly decent, though I think they count on your ordering more than one course. The appetizers were great and the pizzas were delicious.

“The food is very good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We tried Pazzo Pomodoro after going to Sweet Ginger and seeing a line out of the door. We went on a weeknight and it was crowded in the restaurant. As other reviewers mention, the tables are close together and you have to raise your voice to speak as it is very loud in there. Decor-wise, there are murals on the wall and it will remind you of a Luciano's in that respect. The pasta is very good - we had the ravioli and it was flavorful. The bread was ok and served with olive oil. Our server was very busy and that resulted in slower service. We had plates of pasta, so it probably should not have taken so long to bring to us. The wine selection was basic, but the glasses were generous.

I would recommend Pazzo Pomodoro and I think it's a good addition to the neighborhood. Due to the noise level and the crowds, you may want to go to Luciano's for similar food and a bit more quiet.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We went on a very busy night. The service was a little odd, and the tables are really packed in tight. The food was OK -- we'll try it again because I think it will get better as they work the kinks out.

“Growing pains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

Saturday night 700 arrival is a 45 min. Wait. Pasta is homemade and delicious stay away from specials the kitchen has mastered them. Mussels are great and calamari has a nice accompaniment if zucchini. Nice bar area and well priced wines. Bottom line a 6:30 or 8:00 arrival will be a better experience since there are no reservations .
