“Great deal. Cheapest place to stay in the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

This hotel is a decent nights stay and definitely the most economical in town. Rooms and lobby is old and it has continental breakfast. Has nice restaurants near by which is a plus and is close to Vienna metro station. Beds are normal and little noisy AC/heater was a issue but since a deep sleeper and was tired, didn't matter much. Wifi could have been a bit faster since I'm used to watching a movie and go to sleep. Overall not a bad place for just the nights sleep.

you're probably reading this review because the Vienna Wolf Trap was the lowest priced hotel in the DC area. on the OTHER hand, If you're like my wife and are concerned with upscale amenities, modern decor, and central location please stop reading and add about $50 more dollars to your budget for someplace else. Now if you're a cheapo, not particularly picky, or just a guy like me that doesn't mind a low priced place to get 6 hours of shut eye then continue reading.

unlike higher priced motels Vienna VA is about 17 miles away from DC. It's located right off of i-66/i-495. The Vienna metro station is located a little over a mile from the hotel. Just take Nutley st. to Virginia Center Blvd to use the park and ride. (You can park all day for less than $5) This in itself was extremely convenient to me. If you're a DC tourist the Orange line will take you directly to popular stops like Smithsonian (National Mall) and Capitol South (Capitol Building). There's a gas station nearby for a fillup too.

As for the hotel itself it's a very basic 2 story "enter from outdoors" building that's been around for a while. Even with the card entry upgrade it's not tough to imagine someone your grandparent's age staying here. The amenities are simple and the room was clean. There were no foul odors which is typical of cheap hotels. The bed was clean and comfy enough for a night's rest. Tub, sink, and toilet were spotless, carpet clean, and no random debris. Very clean. The towels are typical of a hotel this cheap (gritty and thin) but this isn't the Hilton Garden! ;-)

The man at the reception desk was friendly and billingual. A minimal continental breakfast is served which pretty much consisted of juice, coffee, bagels, danishes, and apples. Just enough to get something in your belly. Coffee wasn't bad either. I'd request something on the lower level next time as i wasn't able to park anywhere near my room but that's not a huge deal. Overall it was a great experience. simple, inexpensive, and basic. would reccomend to fellow cheapos

TIP: you are provided two bottled waters. take one or both with you to conquer DC.

this is the same hotel with some cosmetic changes. bigger breakfast area. no hot food, just continental, but ok. rooms are still the same. small but clean with some old style furniture. cost is worth it rather than staying in Tysons for double the price and getting less. bad thing is a bus line-didn't drive, that runs til 930, then not again til 330, couple of close restaurants. not the newest hotel, but for the price and staff, its worth the value

This hotel is only a mile to the Vienna METRO station and only 2 miles to Tyson's Corner Mall. There is also restaurants within walking distance, including a Mexican Cantina-type restaurant attached to the hotel. Many stores/pharmacies, etc. are within a very short drive.

The rooms are decent; however, the bed was a bit firm for my personal liking. Most importantly, the room was clean and was very acceptable for the rate I received. I saw another person said that the desk clerk charged $20 extra for the 1st floor. If you make your reservation online you will see that the 1st floor rooms are more expensive; thus, rooms on the third floor (top floor) are the LEAST expensive. If you don't mind walking a few flights of steps, this is the way to go!

The guy at the desk was very nice and offered directions to Tyson's Corner and the METRO station. The breakfast was definitely "slim-pickin's" but I don't usually eat breakfast anyway, so I just got a nice glass of OJ before I went sight-seeing. The biggest complaint I would have about this hotel is that the parking lot is rather small. However, there is more parking around back if you don't mind the extra walking. I would definitely stay here again!!!!!

Room Tip: Cheapest rooms are on third floor!!

The hotel is acceptable for the price. Although tub faucet and the toilet tank leaked, the room was reasonably clean and in good condition. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave. The complimentary breakfast was satisfactory except the coffee was barely warm. The front desk agents were friendly and professional except for the agent at the desk on our check out date. The Metro station is only about one mile from the hotel. Overall, for the price, I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: There is no elevator.

Concrete stairs in need of repair. Old and beat up property. Clerk wanted to charge me $20 extra for first floor. The hotel was not even close to 1/4 full. Windows so dirty I couldn't see outside. Towels and pillow cases so old that they were falling apart and grey in color. Breakfast consisted of cereal in dispensor next to entrance door on a tiny table. Only nice thing was 2 complimentar bottles of water in the room. Stay away from Mexican restur next door. Cold food. Bugs in beer. Poor service.

Room Tip: Don't bother.

Thank you for taking the time out and writing a review for the Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel. I'm so sorry your experience left you somewhat disappointed. We do have an older property and are working on improving the conditions of the property. While it may be dated it is safe and clean property. We are a three story property without elevators, which is why we price our rooms accordingly depending on floor preference. Guest at times booked our least expensive room online, which may be on the 3rd floor due to the walk up.The price difference is $5 to $6 per floor depending on the room type and what floor the room may be on. We are very kind to our guest and are always serious of their comments and concerns. We have 116 rooms at our property and if any of our guest are not satisfied with their rooms we always go out of our way to ensure that the guest is satisfied with their accommodations. Our breakfast is Continental and consist of more than just cereal, we have bagels to toast, muffins, cinnamon rolls, oranges, fresh fruit, coffee and hot water for tea. Again, thank you for your feedback and I do hope that you will consider returning back to the Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel the next time you are in the area.

The hotel is an older one and needs some repair work before I would increase it's rating. It was a place to sleep and shower during my stay. I did like the rates, especially combined with the Senior discount. I would have been very disappointed had I paid their normal rate for what I got.

Room Tip: Get a ground floor room, there are no elevators for guests.
