We were traveling with our dog so our options were limited. Booking a room at the Motel 6 in Hot Springs was a last minute decision that worked out awesomely. Tammy was super helpful over the phone and with check-in. And with suggestions for breakfast the next day. Pets are no extra charge which is rare. The price for the room was incredibly cheap as well.
Location is great, safe, and close to the small city of Hot Springs and a great jumping off point for the rest of the Rushmore area.
Accommodations are basic but comfortable and clean. Wifi worked great. Free coffee in the morning but no breakfast. Biggest drawback is that walls are a little thin so you may hear a lot.
Overall though we (along with our pup) were very happy!
